I know Scrap Time Videos posted a short video the other day. I typed in Creativation 2018 in the search bar of YouTube and found it.

Hummmm, I don’t know about the New Precission Press. I have the original and bought a second for back up. I chose it because I did not need magnets (to pinch my fingers), I liked the fact I could stamp clear and cling without needing a foam mat or having to turn the plate in order to accomodate the type of stamp. I also love the fact that I am not limited by size of paper even tho the press is. 7x7.

I could go on and on and having used it for just over a year would not give it up. It does exactly what it was designed to do. Don’t know why they felt need to add magnet#, never have I had paper shift or had the need for magnets or tape. In my humble opinion, sometimes you cannot improve on a good basic product that does what it promises.

Scratching my head why they felt the need to do this, anymore than why Stamping up decided after all this time to come up with yet another stamp positioner when there were several on the market. But then again maybe it’s like shoes.......can’t have too many lol.

To jump on the train and sell more stuff I would guess. Even if you have a great product if you don’t refresh it and market it you don’t attract new customers. I didn’t even know an older version existed. I have other stamping platforms but not one that looks like this one. I’d like to see a longer demo of it. Kind of liked being able to add plates to layer.

The original came out same time as the Hampton Art and the first Tonic version. Then came the law suit with Sweet Petunia. These were out before Christmas last year.
I th8nk you could google WRMK Precision Press and see it in video action.

Oh that one with a hinge. I do remember that. I was interested in that one but didn’t jump fast enough before the lawsuit. This is quite different with the pegs and all. Wonder about the price.

I had the original WRMK stamp press and got rid of it. It was very light weight - which could be nice if taking it to a class or traveling - but otherwise didn't do it for me.

The new one is interesting, not that I'm getting it. I like that they magnetized it this go round, and it's kind of neat it can be used even off of the platform. (Using it that way reminds me of the Fiskars stamp press.) Just a different twist that's sure to appeal to some.

I might like the additional plate thing. If those pegs hold the plates accurately I might prefer that to the stamparatus. I can see having extra plates for a layering project. I didn’t agree with what the guy said about ones with hinges being inaccurate. None of mine are inaccurate. Sometimes I’m inaccurate if I don’t check my paper position between stamping but it’s not the fault of the hinge.

Agree with you about the hinge statement. Say what's unique rather than pointing out a negative about other companies' products - and that isn't even true in this case.

WRMK is owned by American Crafts now. As is Bazzill and more. Different mentality. Though to be fair, a couple years after I bought a Cropadile I emailed American Crafts and said one hole rarely punched through all the way. They asked me for a photo of a punched piece of paper along with my address and sent me a new one.

There are a bunch now on youtube (search on "creativation 2018"). Here's one - some organization/storage/paints/thermoplastic sheets/other stuff. At about 5:00 - do you think that's a type of embossing paste? https://m.

Stampin' Up! had been working on it for a while. They let a group of demos in in the process and they take a LONG time to design, test and market. I'm not sure if everyone takes that long, but my feedback to them at the beginning was to encourage them to move quickly because they were already running late for the party. But to be fair, the lawsuit probably made ALL companies take another look at their products and make sure they were in good footing.

My first two stamp positioners have some limitations so I would be willing to part with those. My latest one has two open sides and that is a feature I would always want. I prefer having grids on my base and am not averse to cushioning underneath so those might be features I would look for in my next positioner. Smaller footprint also appeals. I like that we are going to have more choices.

WRMK has a new punchboard for mini envelopes - as small as 1". I've made lots of tiny envelopes smaller than 1" but it could be fun. On the youtube search page for "creativation 2018" it's the 9th video down - Deflecto/Ken's Kreations at about the 6:30 mark. WRMK has re-engineered their trimmer/scoreboard and has a wire bender thing.

https://m.youtube.com/results?q=crea...on%202018&sm=3

And translucent Gelatos are coming out (nothing to do with WRMK).

Also curious about the more flowy Ranger Perfect Card Adhesive.

If any of you ladies like unusual stamps, especially ones that are great for teens/men, look out for Visible Image. They are a UK company, at Creativation for the first time, so they will be appearing in a lot of US outlets this year.. Link to a Scraptime video of their stand.
Lol, I was wondering how everyone was putting videos in their posts! Then it just showed up when I hit submit. Every days a school day!

Thanks Shaz. Wouldn’t have known about those. Creative sentiments and I really liked the Music Speaks on the guitar.

I like some of this stuff, like the sprays, though I never use sprays, and really like the letter stamps that click together - just before 16 minutes: https://m.

Ken of Ken's Kreations visited the booth. I think his videos often tend to be a little more thorough (longer) and thoughtful than those of many bloggers. If you go to his blog or youtube channel (on youtube search on Kens Kreations) there are more.

just finished watching all the Creativation videos. I totally agree about the Ken videos- he really does cover the products well.
Seen quite a few things that will fall into my shopping basket, lol. Love the Alcohol ink storage tins, especially as they'll hold Stickles & Pearls too. Pretty sure I'll get the mini Stamping Platform too. Loved the jokey reference to a key fob version! A few of the Oxides- I've only been getting odd ones from each release, as I have a ludicrous number of inkpads.

I heart Ken. Don't forget to check his blog for discount coupons. If I could only choose one thing, it would be the alcohol ink storage tins for alcohol inks, Enamel Accents, and who knows what else might if the plastic insert is removed and other inserts made from chipboard or CS. The owner of my LSS is under orders to get some. ; )

Oh, and a Tim Travel Platform. And some Oxides. Is that more than one thing? No, because I already have a Tim platform and Oxides, so they're just continuations, like chapters in a book, right?

Default New products from SU!

I just rejoined StampinUP after taking more than a year off for a broken knee. I was amazed at all the good new products they have come out with; obviously the Stamperatus is the big ticket one. But if you buy it before March 31 for $49, you just need $1 more in product to get a free gift from the annual Sale-A-Bration promotioncheck the Clearance Rack for dollar store items! The product that is also new and exciting to Art lovers is Brusho, which is a fine powder that activates with the water from a Mister or Aqua Painter. I just got mine yesterday, watched some how to videos on the website www.stampinup.com and will be experimenting with some black and white Designer Paper later today!

ketweber- just be warned that that powder travels for miles! Make sure you have your area well protected- especially if you put the powder down first & then spray. Seriously, the first time I used mine next time I wiped my tables down, I was getting streaks of colour 4 feet away from where I'd been working. You'll find masses of You Tube videos about them too. We've had them available over here for a long time, I only bought mine last year though.
Just in case it's not mentioned in your SU video, don't remove the lids. Just make a hole or two in the tops. You will find some powders are slightly coarser grained than others too, so sometimes you will need to enlarge the hole.

I use Brushos without any traveling - just use the tiniest dot - which of course expands like crazy. But I first used them in a class so forewarned is forearmed. : ) And yes, they've been around for years - not a SU product, just new to SU I gather.

This is the first time I’ve seen all the Creativation videos. I’ve watched a variety, and now I’m wondering what companies do or don’t participate. I get the impression that Stampin Up doesn’t. What about all of the stamp companies I read about here on SCS like Simon Says Stamp, Lawn Fawn etc.? Do they participate? Or, is it basically companies that make products? Fiskars, Sizzix, Tim Holtz....
Do stamp companies shop here to see what they want to carry?

Yes, companies that manufacture craft items have booths (at a very large expense) to encourage on-line shops, distributors and LSS's to buy from them, for bloggers to blog about them, or even so we'll buy from them since some sell directly to the public, or even if they are wholesale only, we buy their items on-line or from LSS's. (Ex: Ken's Kreations did a video of Brutus Monroes' booth, which enabled me to visit the Brutus Monroe site and buy a locking alpha stamp.)

Stamp companies like Lawn Fawn manufacture stamps so some have booths. SSS manufactures a line of stamps/dies/inks and doesn't just sell other brands so in theory they could have a booth for their branded items but I don't think they do?

It's for whoever wants to beautifully market and advertise their products and hope some will be one of the next "it" items. Like Tim's glass mat may be one. And to get more exposure, like Visible Image stamp company from the UK attended for the first time, as did Catherine Pooler with her newish inks.

And the attendees that visit the booths can be on-line companies that carry products, LSS owners and staff, bloggers, etc.

I am so not an expert, so hope others will jump in and add or correct me. Years ago I was a bit involved in a couple of trade shows, have watched [too many!] Creativation videos and have talked to LSS owners who visit the show. In fact today I'm going to an LSS and will get to hear the owner's impressions - can't wait. Need alcohol ink boxes. ; )

Gosh, ordered the clickable alphas from Bruno|Monro (with discount from Ken's Kreations) on 1/23 and it's here already on 1/26. It shipped from Pa and I'm In VA near MD and DC so it's not that far, but nice.
