Carlene (Chatterbox-1) here, starting this week's Favorites Thread. The holidays really seem finished now that BESTs are done. We, in the Pacific Northwest, are back to our typical Seattle area winter weather... gray & rainy (enough for an umbrella), mid-40s to 50s temps, and no sun. After hearing about the freezing, untypical weather around most of the nation, I'd say that we shouldn't be complaining! I hear Australia is having a heatwave!
About this thread: The FAVORITES thread is a way to give recognition to some of the standout creations shared in our SCS Gallery. This is the place to link all the fabulous favorites you discovered in that gallery last week, Sunday, January 14th through Saturday, January 20th.Everyone is welcome to join in -- check the next post (Post #2) for directions.

The 2018 Gallery has started off with a huge bang! There are so many wonderful creations, making it so difficult to choose just a few Favorites for a list, so I just couldn't get it any smaller! There are so many cards that I missed; therefore, my only hope is that if I didn't list your card, someone else will! Believe it or not, here are just some of my favorites from last week:

You don't have to wait until you have a card in one of the Favorites threads. The more participation we have, the more fun and interesting this thread will be.
If this is your first time being mentioned in this thread or you have a new blog, we have blog badges found here in thispost. Please follow these steps to link your Favorites:
1. Load this week's Favorites thread in your first browser tab.
2. Open a second browser tab (or a separate window). Go to the Gallery and click on "My Favorites.”
4. Switch back to the first tab. Scroll down to the “Quick Reply” box at the bottom of the Favorites thread, and paste your link in the message box. On your keyboard, hit Enter twice to add a blank line after each card linked.
5. Repeat steps #3 and #4 as many times as needed to enter all your Favorites links for the current week.
6. Now, click the “Go Advanced” button, then Preview Post. Please help the Favorites Teams by making sure:
That your links work correctly.
The card maker’s SCS name is shown, it really helps if their name is in color.
It really, really, helps if you have a blank line between each entry.
7. Make any corrections in the “Reply to Thread” message box below the “Preview” area in this new window. Then click the "Submit Reply" button.

Click the link to your card to see a post that looks something like this,
Congratulations! In the Favorites Forum, you're in the FAVORITES for the week ending January 20, 2018. See post #11.
Now find out who nominated you. Click the hyperlink portion of the message, FAVORITES for the week ending...,
and check the post # mentioned in your notification.
Scroll to the bottom of the thread and type your thank you in the Quick Reply field. Please do not use the “Quote” button to the side of the post!! Replying with the “Quote” button causes the original message to be repeated. That can confuse the team, and we may notify people twice. Pay It Forward (optional, but nice). Did you find your way to this thread because someone listed one of YOUR creations as a favorite? In addition to saying thank you, we encourage you to pay that smile you're probably wearing right now forward by sharing a few of the cards/projects YOU Favorited this week.

Hi everyone, here are my favourites for the week, I'm doing this from my tablet and boy has it been a challenge.
I tried to highlight the names for easier identification but got into one big mess so rather than loose everything I have left it.
No cards from me next week as we will still be down the coast in our van visiting my daughter and son.
I will be able to look into galleries and challenges though ;)

wow -thank you so very much for the honors of being chosen as a favorite on 2 lists this week! This is a first for me, so I hope I am doing it right - I am not exactly well versed in how to use SCS properly, lol
