card base what cardstock do you use

I am having a hard time finding my Georgia pacific cardstock that I have used. so I am wondering what everyone uses as their card base? Thanks

I try to use any 110 pound cardstock for base cards. For me, it works so much better than the 65 pound cardstock. I bought the Gemini Jr and the instructions for some of the card dies I also bought say to use 160 pound cardstock - but I have yet to find it. Michaels carries the 110, and the Crafters Companion web site is always out of the 160 pound. Staples carries the 110 in different colors as well.

Michael's 110 lb card stock is Recollections, Michael's own brand. I also use this.

Do you have staples near you? They carry 110 lb cardstock.

I use Stamper’s Select from PTI. It is either 110 or 120 lb. It makes a great base, especially for top fold cards.

Gina K has a white 120 lb. It is great. You can use Copics and they won't bleed through to the other side on one layer cards. The other colors are great for card bases too.

It's labeled 110 pound. Look for the thicker packages; they're labeled 110 lb.

It provides a great, sturdy card base that holds up to coloring and heavy embellishments.

There is also an 80# version that is great for layering.

I use for my card bases. Stampin up cardstock. I use the whisper white and Very Vanilla for stamping on. I also line the inside of my card with either WW or VV cardstock.


I also have some of Gina K. Cardstock.

That 110 lb package looks like a great buy. Thanks for sharing. I may try that. I like colored heavy cardstock, which is the only advantage Recollections 110lb has over this.

I use the Neenah stardust 85 lb for my cards. Living in Canada I buy it in bulk direct and pick it up over the border when I travel down there.

I know everyone has their favorite white cardstock, and some people only use very, very heavy cardstock for their bases.

I always layer my card fronts, and attach them to the card bases, so I don't feel I need to use the super heavy brands which can be pricey.


I buy this 110 lb cardstock at Sam's and find it works very well for card bases, and also for stamping images. It is $7.88 for 275 sheets, and compares to the Georgia Pacific that some of you have talked about.
