WOTY001 - Quote Art
What is the WOTY - Word Of The Year - Challenge? Did you follow the concept of choosing one word each year to focus on throughout the year? Whether you participate in Ali Edwards' One Little Word content / products or do your own thing, this challenge is for you. The challenges can accompany the AE content or can stand alone. Challenges will be posted monthly.
The Challenge: Find a quote with your word. Create a card / page / wall art / mixed media project with your quote. Dig into paper, alpha stamps, alpha dies. Go big and print that gorgeous landscape photo and create a page with your quote.

This year is first year I have heard about one word concept. I have still neenn thinking what it should be. I have thought of several. Be back as soon as I think of it! I like the idea of a quote! Thanks , Melissa!
My word for the year is Achievement. Thanks for hosting this, Melissa! I don't participate in Ali's but pick a word to focus on. This will be a great way for me to document the things I want/ do ACHIEVE

I would love to play along with this so I have a reminder of my word - Balance. The only problem is, I don't know where I would put the finished product so it doesn't get buried under the mounds of stuff I have to do! See why I chose balance as my OLW?

Hi Melissa...another great challenge. I started with Health and then thought I really need to get my projects completed this year...or at least started...so I moved onto "Commit" then added "Connect" (family/friends/projects..LOL) and finished up with "Conquer" so I currently have TLWs in my journal saying "Commit, Connect and Conquer" LOL.
I then thought ok I'll simply have Create but it really doesn't cover all the things I need to do this year......so, my word will be:
COMMIT
I will run with this as it covers everything!
I've just jotted down some ideas of my first week for pocket pages. It's a start...commitment here I come

Yep - I agree - COMMIT will cover your goals for the year. You COMMIT to your health, to connect, to create or to whatever else you need to do.
You can spend January exploring what COMMIT means and then each subsequent month, visit what you wish to commit to or explore ways & methods to commit and / or develop the habit of committing to whatever you need. Seems like you've chosen a flexible word you can have fun with!

I have been looking at this challenge and like Sharon M I have not heard of the one word concept. I thought it would be hard to pick a word but one popped into my head that is perfect for me!!! Focus Off to see if there is a quote somewhere!! It probably should be stay focused but I will go with focus!!

Well, I was on a roll with getting the planner printed. I got through one side of the first 25 pgs and half way through the back when my printer locked up and quit. I've ordered a new one. Should be here Wed. In the mean time, i've set all the planner stuff aside and am starting the deep clean of the office.

My word is Pause. As in pause in my reactions. Pause in my actions. Pause in my thoughts. . And much more.
I so wanted to take Ali's class, but with my budget right now, I wasn't willing to go off course. But I've been feeling a need to keep my word better alive this year.
I'm out of commission until next week. Working on Achieving a workflow in the office part of the studio. So far I've stripped pretty much every book/ piece of paper/ etc out of that corner and am in the process of deep cleaning. Also making new 'dresser scarves' for the top of the printer/ office supply dresser and the desk.

So I finally thought of a fun way to display my quote...in my old typewriter where I usually have seasonal quotes! Hope this isn't an easy way out. I do plan on doing an inspiration canvas...did that two years ago and loved it. Have lots of old magazines I'll go through and take out what applies to mod podge to a canvas!
Hey gang! First off, I apologize if you see this same post across multiple threads. I'm on a time budget but wanted to let y'all know I haven't fallen off the wagon again.
Just a quick note. I've had some health issues the past week or so while getting the office finished. I have company all this week and Bob is coming home after being gone the past 5 weeks. I won't be around for the next 10 days or so but then I hope to get caught up!

I forgot about this challenge so was glad to see Anavon's poster today. It's given me such inspiration. Thank you and love your name...so unusual. Is it the name of a place?..must google it..lol.
I'm back to commit....pocket pages. Cards and trip planning have got in the way. Sharon, did I read you will be away for 6-8 weeks in summer or was I dreaming it..lol? ....maybe our paths will cross. How fun would that be?

Hi Faye, I didn't check the link Lynn put on her post as when I do enter comps, and I've entered lots on card blogs, the winners are always in the US. I guess I'm being cynical and thinking that sometimes companies don't want to send goodies overseas as the postage can be high. Thanks for the heads up though...I will check it out.
