We pride ourselves on being great hosts, but guests have limited access to some of our incredible artwork, our lively forums and other super cool features of the site! You can join our incredible papercrafting community at NO COST. So what are you waiting for?
I have had a great time hosting the Divine Design Bible Verse Challenge in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 & 2916. I have had requests to continue this for 2016, and I am more than happy to do so.
This is an opportunity for you to memorize ** Scripture each month. And to help you do so, you make any kind of paper project, with the Scripture as the focus, such as: Album pages, bookmarks, cards, calendar pages, and anything else that works for you.
I have been making a 6x6 Album for each year, with a month for each page. Then I have can keep going through them to refresh my memory on the Scriptures I have memorized, so as to keep them in my mind. I put each current month in a stand where I can see it often, then add it to my album each month.
There are a lot of great scripture stamps out there, but if you don't have any, don't let that stop you. You can print scriptures from your computer! This challenge is a great tool to help you with memorizing & meditating on God's Word. You can join anytime and I hope you will. The guidelines are simple:
1. Must have a Bible verse printed, stamped, hand-written or computer generated on your project.
2. Upload a picture of your project to the Gallery with the scripture reference as your project title (i.e. BVC17 - John 1:14)
3. Be sure to then post in this thread what Month you have uploaded and provide a link to your project in this thread. That way we can see what each other has done, and encourage one another with comments in the Gallery. You might even be inspired to use one of the Scriptures you see as a future choice for yourself.
4. Be sure to put BVC17 as a Keyword when you Upload. This is the Bible Verse Challenge keyword: BVC17 (same keyword all year). While I do appreciate all kinds of inspirational messages, poems and quotes, for the purpose of this challenge, please respect the scripture reference guideline. Do not use this keyword if you have not used a Biblical scripture on your project.
5. No vendor restrictions.
6. The goal will be to post one project for each month of 2017. Try to post it no later than the end of each month (but you can still post later than that, too).
I look forward to seeing all the great projects in the BVC17 gallery! Please feel free to PM me if you you have any questions!
I will post a link to the BVC17 Gallery once we have something in there..
I pray this blesses each of you, as it does me, each month.
Blessings,
LM
** The intent of the the challenge is to combine our love of scripture and our love of stamping. The goal is also to work on memorizing. I understand that not all are able to memorize, and I would never tell anyone that they cannot participate if they cannot get their posted verses memorized.

Welcome Xtrillium...I am so glad you are joining us. You don't have to catch-up (although you are more than welcome to), you can start with March. I am looking forward to seeing your creations that showcase your monthly verses. :-) LM

I just found this challenge. I've been wanting to work on memorizing more scripture, this is giving me the push I need. I do have a hard time with memorization, so I love the idea of creating something that I can put on a loop so I can go back and refresh my memory.
Welcome Stacy! I am so glad you found us and are going to join us. I am looking forward to seeing what you create to showcase your monthly verses. :-) LM

Here is my Feb Page. I had it completed a couple of weeks ago, but just found the time to upload it yesterday, the last day of February, to find that there were problems with the SCS Upload System. Anyway, I got it uploaded today. I though John 3:16 was the perfect verse for the month of LOVE. Such great LOVE God has shown us through the gift of His Son, Jesus.
Here is my card for March. I actually memorized both verses : Prov. 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. v. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Faye...You don't have to memorize before making the card. Also, you can make the next month's card even if you haven't memorized the verse from the previous month's card. This thread is supposed to be an encouragement to memorize, but I am not being strict in that you have to memorize....If memorization isn't easy for you, just put the card out where you you can see the verse and reflect on it. I hope this helps. :-) LM

I made these cards (along with 3 others that are similar) to send to a friend and her family as she has recently had a diagnosis of ovarian cancer. Teal is the color for ovarian cancer.
Hi everyone! How does this challenge work? Where do you get the bible verses to be used on a card? Does someone put what bible verse we are suppose to use, or do you pick your own?
Also when are they due and where so you post your cards?
Thanks! Sorry for all the questions.
Jan (Precious Kitty)

Hi Jan! You pick any verse you want. I'm sure LM will come in and answer all your questions, but I thought I'd at least let you know that you pick the verse....
