Rubber Stamp Companies & Angel Policies
i've seen a lot lately about angel policies, and there's plenty of stuff on the web about which company has what policy; but if you're like me, you want the details! so, i've compiled a list -- includes company links -- of companies that i've come across in my research. the very last column includes a direct link to the angel policy, if one exists on the web.
if you have information on a company not listed, please let me know via PM, and i'll add it to the list.
additional updates; some new companies...

What happens when a company like say PSX that went out of business and you needed permission by them for their angel policy? Are we allowed to use the stamps to sell product or not?????

not sure i can honestly answer the question. i think it would depend on many things - one, if the company was bought by another, then most likely the new company's policy would be in effect.

After searching many hours I finally found that Inkadinkado bought PSX. Does that mean that their angel policy is in effect? I've put an email into Inkadinkado to find out, I'll post when I get word.
Thanks,
PJ

I'm on the DT for Repeat Impressions http://www.repeatimpressions.com. Here is their Angel Policy so that you can add them to your list. Thanks for compiling it!

DD - under the fiskars angel policy (listed on the document from my 1st post), it states:
Fiskars Brands, Inc., through its Heidi Grace, Cloud 9 and Lil Davis divisions, manufactures and sells a diverse collection of scrapbooking papers, stickers and embellishments with the expectation that our customers will use these products to generate unique creations. Fiskars Brands, Inc. customers are free to sell their creations which incorporate our scrapbooking papers, stickers and embellishments, however, the designs embodied in the Heidi Grace, Cloud 9 and Lil Davis scrapbooking papers, stickers and embellishments are proprietary to Fiskars Brands, Inc. and customers are not permitted to copy or duplicate Fiskars Brands scrapbooking papers, stickers and embellishments.
the way i interpret this says you can use heidi grace items on items you sell, however, you can't "copy or duplicate" the products [ie: copy paper on a copy machine, and use them in your finished creation].

Just FYI - Provocraft is in process of revising their angel policy. I contacted them late May and they said it should be up on the website shortly.

In studying angel policies of many companies, I understand how the policy applies to the actual production of hand-crafted items for sale. I am not clear on how the angel policies apply to photographing the finished pieces and posting them on the internet. So far, SU is the only company I found that specifically mentions that internet sales are ok, which would imply to me the photographs (digital reproduction) online are ok. When companies talk about no digital reproduction, I always thought that meant in the production process, not in the marketing process.
My question~ are we expected to get specific permission to photograph for the internet completed hand-crafted items that display a stamp, or is that implied when given permission (or following the stated angel policy) for crafting with images and selling completed items?

you've mentioned a couple of things here, so i'm not sure if i can specifically address your questions, but i'll give it a whirl ;)
imho only:
[i agree with your statement] digital reproduction means digitally reproducing an image, or stamped image for sale; such as creating a stamped project, scanning it, and using that digital scan to create additional projects. most companies expect you to hand-stamp the images for each product you wish to sell.
i would expect, unless specifically addressed in the individual company's angel policy, photographing your project (not the original image/stamp) and using that photograph to market your product would be acceptable.
does this help?

Provocraft Angel Policy - NOT
 Provocraft has just released their new angel policy. For those of you/us who sell cards, it's not good news. The policy allows fairs, and temporary venues, but forbids retail locations, consignment, kiosks and internet. Not good for me. I think I'll cut my losses and dump my silhouette. There are more competitive companies out there than to have to deal with this. My stamp collection is already cleaned up and out...
