Now, I am looking for challenge ideas for January through November of 2018, so send me a pm or list your idea in this thread!! Reminder, no specific challenge in the month of December. That is your catch up month if you have fallen behind!!
Looking forward to another fantastic year of beautiful creations and inspiration from all of you!
Note: Your monthly goals are the amount of cards you need to make each month to stay ahead and avoid the rush at the end of the year!!
Information to help you through the coming year:

I was horrid at this last year but hope springs eternal and I've already come up with one design for next year's cards, so I'm in!
swldebbie (Debbie) I tend to do a given card for a set of people, so monthly goals don't really end up being relevant for me, but I'm hoping to make 30-40 cards in 2018.

Ann, I know you are always looking for monthly themes - since I've just come up with my first design, I'll throw these 2 out as possibilities - Use a silhouette image
or
Use an ornament

I failed miserably last year and luckily had a stash to help me through this season. But stash is now empty so I'm in for five a month.

I too failed last year, but going to try this month, lindahur aka snickerscrap, Linda. I need at least 10-15 per month and some of my ideas are - trees, stars, snowflakes, sillouettes, non traditional colors just to name a few for now.

I'm back in, Ann : ) I did 4 per month this year and came up short so I'm setting my goal at 5 per month.
I like the suggestion for silhouettes, ornaments and would add animals (I know we had a couple of these in 2017, but I know I'll be doing those anyway, so...)
I really can only try for one or two for the actual challenge theme each month because I have many people that I like to make theme-specific cards for.

I didn't do all the 2017 themes, but the ones I did do this summer made this year's Christmas card giving so much easier! I am going to aim for 3-5 cards a month. Some of my ideas- use your favorite technique, use a house or building on your card, Christmas food or drinks/baking.

I would love to join in again. I did this a number of years ago. It certainly made it easier when I needed to start addressing cards! I've worked through my stash for sure!
I'm thinking of 4 cards per month.
Thank you Ann for organizing this!
Suggestion for theme.....cute animal or funny card

My daughter did some last year and had fun, so I thought I would try to do 3-5 each month. For a theme- gingerbread, bells, angels or stars.

I'm in for 2018 for 6 cards per month.
For monthly challenge perhaps quilting, sewing theme.
Also use a die cut or punch or just a new technique you personally wanted to try.
Looking forward to another year with the CCC.

I did most of this year's themes and had enough cards so I intend to sign up again - 12 a month but I may not do all of them to theme! I wasn't any good about posting in the threads though!
Jay_Bee - Janine - 12
What about having a colour theme - Black or Dark Blue with Silver or Gold

Hi Aunty Ann,
I would like to join and maybe start with as little as 2-3 cards to start for each month. I want to try and challenge myself for next year and of course be more prepared!

Well, I've kind of failed the last two years, but as far as I know there are no house moves looming in 2018, so maybe I'll do better.

I would like to join and make 3 cards (at least) a month. I'm hoping to keep to the themes that are not secular this year, as I'm strengthening my commitment to my faith.

I did this a few years ago and it was so helpful. I would like to start again.
My SCS name is Sundayshine, A.K.A Tressa, and I would like to do 8 cards a month, but start in February. I will be moving in January and do not know if everything will be unpacked in time.

I thought I did pretty good this past year. I still ended up having to do a card for the masses in December but that is only because I added everyone back on that I took off the year before because I ran out of time in 2016. I will need to make 10 cards a month to send to everyone our house will send in 2018. Since my MIL moved in we sent 88 out and she needed 10 so I am planning on around 100 for 2018. Oh every year the list gets longer. Plus my mom said I never give her Christmas cards in her box of cards so I am going to try to make some doubles to help build up her stash for next year. Oh boy I have my work cut out for me. LOL!
Ann, if you are still needing ideas how about candles?

I'm in again. I'd like to stick to my quota of 10 per month.
Susan - susanbri
If no-one has mentioned it yet, how about Christmas birds (could be any kind of bird like cardinals, robins, etc., or peace-themed cards with doves)?

Ann, may I may a request?. On the very first post in this thread, where you have links to the threads for each month, could you add the theme for that month. so...
January (silhouette)
February (Santa and reindeer)
etc.
That way all the themes are in one handy place for reference. (I spent so much time clicking on the individual threads last year trying to figure out what theme went where.)
Thank you.

This is such a good challenge! I would like to join in, please. My quota will be four a month. Theme suggestion is to include a body of water. Can be an ocean, lake or pond.

Well, I did around 4 a month this year and it was "enough" but, I do still have a "few" that are left over from the booth/challenges/and over time type of a thing so, I think doing 4 a month. ( skipping creating during the broiled alive outside months aka "summer" ) I should be OK.
my bad part is, sometimes I do cards very similar to each other and end up not sticking them in the gallery.
I have done a couple so far for next year.

That is a really good idea - winter / snowman themes work right through January!
Hope everyone has had a great Christmas Day.
