Papertrey Ink - What's Up?

Hey all PTIers. So, I read Nichole Heady's blog post of today. seasons-of-change.html It says she's retiring both from blogging and paper crafting in general.

I thought she was the (or one of the) owners of PTI. So, what does this mean? Does she just run the blog, or is the company changing?


Could someone more in-the-know clarify for me? If I need to clear my wishlist, I need to get started purchasing, LOL.




BTW, please be clear, I am NOT trying to start a rumor; I'm sure someone(s) can clarify for the rest of us.

She says she is resigning and that the company will go on. Just based on the post, I'd say it's clear she's not going to be part of PTI going forward.

She was never the sole owner of PTI. She had partners. She was the face of the company, though. The post refers to a new leadership structure. It will be interesting to see what that means in terms of what changes and what stays the same.

From watching the "goodbye" video and reading their forum, it seems Nichole and her family recently relocated from TN to Maine (I think). So a big change for her family may have had something to do with her decision, not to mention being much further from PTI headquarters. I wish her all the best.

The post was very well written and she explained, from her heart, about moving on from PTI. Things to do change, as we have seen in the industry as a whole and in our own lives. I will be checking PTI periodically to look for new products and designs. Mary Beth

sad to see her retire from papercrafting as she is a terrific designer. I hope her new career (hinted at by the video) makes use of her creativity.
