Welcome to the First Week Challenge Thread for VSBN17NovDec! We're glad you're playing along. It's really quite simple, we're flexible on how you want to use these challenges, all scrappers are welcome!
This challenge will have 31 Challenges (1 per day) listed in November. You'll have all of November and December (plus a little of January) to complete your challenge pages.
Here's the Process:
1. Each Day we'll post a New Challenge in that week's Challenge Thread
2. Feel free to scrap that challenge in any format
3. Use the KEYWORD VSBN17NovDec in your upload
4. Post a link to your page in that week's challenge thread
5. Have FUN!

Our First Challenge is all about Getting ready for Gratitude! The definition for "gratitude" says: (NOUN) : the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness It's all about being "READY to Appreciate" whether it's the season, the day or events!
Challenge #1 -- Get Ready --
* If you're doing a December Album Your Challenge is to Create the First Page of the Album. Welcome the Holiday Season 2017. Leave a Journaling box for listing at least one item your Thankful For ....
* If you're playing along with our Challenges individually Your Challenge is to create a page(s) that depict "getting ready" i.e. ... baking a cake, putting on your coat, getting dressed, pulling out your decorations, basting your turkey, boarding a plane ... whatever it is, let's get ready! Use at least 1 Journaling box per page ... we want the scoop

Day 2 Challenge and it's all about the weather! I live here in the Midwest so we're seeing chilly temps and frost on the windows ... we're not even wishing for "white stuff" yet ... too early ... but we know it's coming

It could be your wish list, your child/grandchild Santa list, your grocery list or even just your "to do" list ... it will be fun as you look back to see all the holiday ideas. So far I'm excited! Probably won't do a Dec Daily, but will certainly do the individuals. I know what I will do for #1 - take a photo when I go to board the plane on the 15th. Have realized I did #2 once I read this challenge. It is my "Cold Walk" page.

It sounds almost overwhelming. Not sure I will do the daily but will have a go at the individual challenges. I'm still trying to get my head around what is required but will get there.

Hi, my "weather" page Summer in OZ Our Christmas is unfortunately in Summer, and so we have lovely summer photos. I had thought of using a snowy one but that is not right for December in Austratlia. Enjoy. TFL

VSBN17NovDec - Week 1/Challenge 3 - This is my attempt at Challenge 3 - making a list. I always forget to make a list of who to send Christmas cards to and in the end usually only get them sent on Christmas Eve! This time, thanks to this challenge I have made my list and will have my cards ready to send in the next week or so - they are made just got to send them. Thanks for looking.

This is for Challenge #2 - the weather. It was 5 degrees when we landed in Heathrow and 6 degrees on our first day of sightseeing....after leaving mid 20 degrees here, it was quite a shock to the system. Hubby says that he doesn't believe I came from the UK LOL, but I am now acclimatised to Aussie weather. Thee's quite a few showing the weather and I will add them to the usual monthly thread too. Here's the first one.

Here's a pocket page I made as part of my travel album....my grateful page.....onto week 2 challenges and see if I can make them work in my album. I did take a photo of a list before we went on our trip but forgot to include it in the album....doh!
I realised afterwards that I should have included a heart...added this but not on the original photo.

Another pocket page I created as part of my travel album but will include it here against Challenge #6 - decorations....we saw lots on our walk from Westminster to Oxford Circus.
I've also included the page showing Westminster lit up with their Xmas tree.
I haven't included this in my gallery as I think I may clog the system up LOL.
