Hello all ... it is Kia with you to start this week's Favourite's thread. Being November 11th I would like to send my thoughts out to all our Veterans today.
Unfortunately we are experiencing a couple of technical difficulties here at SCS. The first is the continuing auto-link function that is not working. For instructions on how to link please see Instructions in post #2.
The other problem is there appears to be a problem with each persons Favourite Gallery. It seems "faves" are missing. When you click your Favourites Gallery tab the following message appears"Sorry, we came up empty on your search terms. Check your spelling?"
I went back through the last 7 days to collect information for my faves. It is time consuming but I could not start this thread without some faves. How is that for dedication? haha So, we will do the best we can do with what we have, right?
About this thread ... the current week's favourites thread is a way to give recognition for those standout creations you have seen through the week. This is the place to link to those cards and share the fabulous creations posted at SCS running from Sunday November 5th to Saturday November 11th.
Notifying this week are Elaine (ChaosMom), Sabrina (Cook22), Carla (Covington Crafter), Carlene (Chatterbox-1), Kia (kiagc), Shirley (wannabcre8tive), Angie (ohmypaper!)
Do you have Clean and Simple (CAS) cards that you would love to give recognition for, head on over to the Clean and Simple thread which you can find here.
The auto-formatting of hyperlinks is still not working. If you post your Favorite cards here in the usual way, we'll be unable to tell who to notify, unless we open every single link .
Please help us out and follow one of the two options. We've done our best to make this as simple as possible. I've highlighted the new steps in red. 1. Load this week's Favorites thread in your first browser tab.
2. Open a second browser tab (or a separate window). Go to your Gallery and click on "My Favorites" on the left sidebar.
3. Click on a card you have saved in your Favorites. At the top, highlight the web address (it starts with www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo ..... and so on). Copy the web address.
4. Switch back to the first tab. Scroll down to the “Quick Reply” box at the bottom of the Favorites thread. Type the card maker's SCS user name in the box, no need to type the card name. We'll find it as long as you type the user name and paste the web address of the card.
Option 1: Simply paste the card link behind it. It will look like this,
On your keyboard, hit Enter twice to add a blank line after each card linked.
5. Repeat steps #3 and #4 as many times as needed to enter all your Favorites links. 6. When you have finished entering your links, click the “Go Advanced” button. Proofread all your entries in the “Preview” window that opens. Make sure your card links all have a blank line between each entry and that the card links work as a link back to each card.
7. Any corrections needed are done in the “Reply to Thread”message box below the “Preview” area in this new window.
8. If you had to make any corrections, click the “Preview Post” button again and re-proof. Steps#6, #7, and #8 can be repeated as many times as needed.
9. When finalized, click the “Submit Reply” button.
Please help the Favorites Team by making sure:
1. That your links work correctly.
2. The card maker’s SCS name is shown, it really helps if their name is in color.
3. Lastly, it really, really, helps if you have a blank line between each entry.

Sadly my favourites are gone too. There were about a dozen, I added another 3 or 4 yesterday and now there is only one. If I have any spare time today I will come back. Take care xx

Life is so fun with computer and system problems - I guess it allows us to appreciate them more when things are running smoothly. With how complicated they are and how many things can go wrong, I am amazed at how well they work!

I am happy to be back with my favorites this week but super sad I may have missed a few amazing cards with the new gremlins showing up.
My life has been so crazy with my very talented son's marching band who took 3rd place at Grand Nationals last night. So very proud of the Avon Marching band. Those kids worked incredibly hard and did an amazing job.
