As most of you already know, I love creating easy backgrounds and playing with inks.
Loll Thompson created a video showing how to create simple cards using any water based inks and paper which I think everyone will already have on hand.
I am addicted to how quickly you can make a bkg. and use it to make a card.
It can be easily stamped onto which I really like.
I use a heavy white cardstock but Loll suggests you use watercolor paper.
Whatever you chose to use, please come and play along with us.
Be sure to add the keyword to you card so it will be added to the gallery.
This looks like a great technique! For folks who dont have one of those cool sheet things to put the ink on, what do you suggest? Would a foam or glass plate work or would ink bead too much?

You can use tin foil, plastic packaging, a plastic place mat, a plastic lid, I would think a glass plate would be fine, I am not sure if a foam plate would soak up the ink, if not then it would work just fine, experiment!
I had fun with both challenges in one card- unusual Christmas Tree- CAS453- and watercolor splatter- TLC662. I used a crumpled white paper for my die cut tree, adding dots for fun. Added sparkle with my foil double star and gems. Here's CAS453 TLC662 Polka Dot Tree

did a mixture of techniques on this card, including splash watercolor for my pale blue side borders, watercolor bleed for my red middle border, same technique for my parchment paper purple horizontal lower border. Distressed my main panel, using a halloween style fencepost ef for my main decorations. Added a 3D stickers, balloons, crescent moon, and a pumpkin. Here's spooky

Very fun! I cut a 9x12 watercolor sheet into 4x4 1/2 squares and had fun tapping them all in my puddles of ink. These cards are four more going to the pet card drive.
I've long been a fan of Loll so thanks for sharing a technique that anyone can do to create something beautiful. Be back later with my card. Thanks, Karen.
Fun to try, but I don't think my piece spattered all that well. Either I didn't swat it right or the Oxide inks weren't the best inks to use. Anyway, I thank you for this challenge. FF17Yeti TLC662 Hello by AnniePanda at Splitcoaststampers
