Read Me first
If you've never used a message forum like this before it can take a little while to figure out what it's all about.
The first item you clicked on, called 'START HERE' is a forum category. Forum categories are created by the administrator of the forum.
Inside the forum categories you will find forum topics. The second item you clicked on, called 'Read Me first', is a forum topic. Topics can be created by any registered members, not just the administrator. Anyone who posts a reply will see their message displayed right beneath this one. In that way it's possible to have a conversation between lots of people and have all their responses in one place.
Try posting a reply to one of the topics in the forums, or create your own topic. If you've got any questions or have any ideas to help us improve the forum, post a message in the Reader Feedback area and we'll be sure to help you out.
Thanks, and welcome to the forums!

Something else to try. Normally, next to forum categories you'll see a little icon (shown below). When you log on to the forums, and you see an orange square, that means there are new postings in that forum category since your last time to visit. Neat, huh?

How do you get your picture under your name on the left. I can put a picture in my message, but I can't figure out how to do the one on the left.
Thanks.
PS also, what about the name under my name? where does that come from?

newbie here
A friend of mine told me about this site and I'm so thrilled she did. I love what I see so far which has not been much. I've been a stamper for about 11 yrs. and at one time owned my own stamp store. Besides stamping I do scrapbook. I'm a night owl, that is usually when I have time to stamp, scrap, or sew. I'm looking forward to the benefits of this wonderful site.
Thanks!!

I'd like to know, too. Thanks!

Hello! A Newbie here. I am wondering why I can't see a card that is posted in the gallery? When I click on the card to get a better look, I get a page that says I don't have permission to view that page. Is there something I'm missing??

Sorry, I'm new and don't understand a couple of things.
First, why when I go to a forum am I unable to...
You cannot post new topics in this forum
You cannot reply to topics in this forum
You cannot edit your posts in this forum
You cannot delete your posts in this forum
You cannot vote in polls in this forum
You cannot attach files in this forum
You cannot download files in this forum
Secondly, how do you get the personal information on the left bar (pics, etc.)?

this site rocks!
I have been addicted to this site since my sister referred me to it! What a treasure trove of fantastic ideas. My only disappointment is that my dinosaur of a computer can't read the instructions for the spinner cards so that I can finally make one. If anyone could help me out with some basic written instructions it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hi everyone, I am new here too and just found out about this site. I am coming up on my first year anniversary as a stamper and a SU demonstrator. I am a hard core scrapbooker also and the stamping became a part of my scrapbooking and now I love the card making, etc... I am also a photographer in my spare time, but I work as a registered nurse to support my addictive hobbies!!! I live in South Florida, and we are bracing for the 3rd hurricane to hit Florida in just one month, so we are all getting a bit rattled. I hope the power stays on so that I can do my stamping and scrappping. My name is Kiki and I am glad to be a part of this.. Kiki

Thanks so much for your welcome. I think us Floridians have been spared the wrath of Hurricane Ivan so far, but those in Northern florida in the Panhandle will probably get most of it. I look forward to talking to y'all and learning from everyone on this site. Kiki

Morning all. Just found this site... well I must say I'm glad I did. This is going to be a lot of fun going through all the different forums.
I am a stamper/scrapper with never enough time in the day to do the things that I love....Must be why we opened up our own business, so we could do just that !!!
Hope to make lots of new friends...
Maureen

This is my first time posting to a forum like this. I've used this site for months and have enjoyed looking at everyone's beautiful artwork. I've used many ideas for my personal cards and workshop ideas. Keep up all the wonderful creative ideas. Maybe soon I'll figure out how I can share some of my creations!!!
One question -- how can I change my user name??
