TLC660 ~ Gift Box in a Card ~ {10/16/2017}

Hello Technique Lovers

I am Anita (snietje), and Judy and Sabrina invited me to be your guest hostess for the Try A New Technique challenge this week.

I'm so excited to challenge you to make a Gift Box in a Card.


I've attached a PDF with full instructions.


Here we go

Step 1: You need card stock 5 7/8"-8 1/4" (21-14.9 cm)



You fold this double and now you can use a die cut or trimmer to cut out a square 2" (5cm) out of the top



Step 2: You take a square sheet from 6" (15cm) and score it at both sides at 2" and 4" (5 et 10 cm)



you cut in the bottom and top lines to make your box

Step 3: Now you make the lid out of a square from 2 7/8" (7.1 cm) scored at each side at 3/8" (1 cm)


and now it's your turn to embellish your Gift Box in a Card

1. Open 2 windows or tabs: one window for your card and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Go to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.

Here's mine. I don't celebrate Halloween at all (apart from giving candy to the trick or treaters who call at the door), but I just couldn't resist these sweet stamps, and this challenge was a great way to use them.

Anita didn't make a video. You may be able to find one on YouTube, Nancy. I found her PDF instructions very easy to follow.

I just stumbled upon this website and this community. I'm a bit overwhelmed, but this looks like fun. I'm going to give it a try. I couldn't see what the deadline is, so I'll work on it and hope I get it done before the deadline is up.Thanks for the pdf and the fun info!

There's no deadline, take your time and you can upload it at any time in the gallery, I'm happy you're going to give it a try:grin:
