Scrappin' Challenge 2017 Can you believe this is our 9th year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 through 2016 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2017! Let's keep scrappin'.
It was SO fun to chat about and see everyone's pages, goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2017! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person can share their page goals, pages and ideas. for those of use who like Annual Goals, we will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month.
*In this thread, we track our monthly goals. We find it helps us keep getting pages done which is good for all of us.
You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done all the while enjoying sharing with Virtual Friends.
Are you UP for the CHALLENGE? Come and Play in the 2017 Scrapbook Challenge! Here's to Meeting our Scrapping Goals & Meeting New Friends!
We'd love to "oohh" and "aahh" over your pages so please post with key word "sbc17oct"

Exceeded my September goal by 1 with 11.YTD at 138.
Which puts me 12 shy of my yearly goal, so I'm going to go for it this month and say 12 to hit the 150 mark by Halloween.

UPDATE:::::: "FALL SELF-EVALUATION"
I know that I have said this before and I will probably say it again somewhere down the line, I had to step away from all my social media avenues due to a very busy schedule. Along with being the best Yaya in the house, I am still currently serving as the Branch Relief Society President. Rotary Secretary, St. Mary's Lead Volunteer, Family Search & History Advisor, Town Planning & Zoning Committee Member, Wife, Mother, world traveler and Friend.
I do this update mostly for myself, kind of like a self check-up. Because, as most of you here know, I have CHF which causes me to have to be totally aware of my health at all times. I am proud to say that I am actually feeling very well. I have lost another 15 pounds, still no oxygen is required and I still have no limitations put on by my doctor.
So hopefully, because the summer here at the canyon is coming to an end, I will be able to hang out here a little more....
MY GOAL FOR OCTOBER IS GOING TO BE 5 and my YTD TOTAL so far is 35.
Still no scrapping this month. Hubby is in a skilled nursing rehabilitation home right now. He may be there for a few weeks getting his strength back in his arms and legs. He spent too many days in bed not being able to move due to several health issues. The health is getting cleared up but it left him so weak he has difficulty standing or walking.
Patti, you will be missed... hope to see you back before to-to long!!
Thanks for checking in ?Sharon. I am glad you were able to do color therapy while with him in the hospital. So glad he is on the mend. Take care of yourself, too.

Anyone scrapping this weekend? I know, I was supposed to scrap last weekend. (sigh)
Well, I do have the Dress Up challenge from September VSBN to complete. I'm a bit further along - a sketch in mind, paper / embellishments in mind...really Melissa - just get 'er dun.
It's like trying to get something out....push push push and pop! Exactly what this feels like. Can anyone relate?

Isn't today World Card Making Day?
I do need to make Christmas Cards. Last year I sent out a photo card. I wasn't terribly happy with the way the photo card turned out, as something funky happened to the color between the picture and the actual printed product at Walgreens. After what I paid for the cards, what was I gonna do? Ah. Something different this year.

Hope they get him moving around and back to his old self soon!
I was in the hospital for one night after having surgery back in July. Oh my. I got home and my torso, hips, butt were so sore from sitting in the bed for 24 hours - I had even gotten up to potty a couple times. Lack of movement or just sitting there causes real issues - whoo. And that was just a day.

Hi Melissa, my week hasn't turned out as expected and I haven't managed to do craft since the beginning of the week. It's the end of school holidays here and we have been looking after our poppets a few days. I'm also procrastinating about what to scrap and my hubby is suggesting I start the mini album for my sister. Whatever I decide to scrap, I need copies of photos and haven't had time to sort through them properly.
I think it is world cardmaking day. I've embargoed making Xmas cards this year...bah humbug, but making others when I can.
I really need to pull my finger out and do something or October will have gone.
Happy weekend

If today is World Card Making day then here is one I posted this morning. I don't seem to be doing any scrapping but I have made a few cards...... that goes a lot faster than doing a layout, BUT I have pulled out some pictures that just might get me in the scrapping mood! AS soon as I clean my desk!!!
Lynn, this page looks marvelous! You did a nice layout and at least you have the location and date in there, even if he doesn't provide more. You don't have to print it yet, thankfully.
Jayne, love your comment about "getting your fingers out", made me chuckle.
Like some of you, I made two cards yesterday. Don't know what I'll manage to do today. We have pet blessing this afternoon at 2pm. After 9:45 mass we come home, I fix breakfast, then start thinking about heading back over with all 3 of my grand-doggies. Maybe I'll get some photos to scrap. That counts, right?
