I need some help. I'm in the process of making a baby card and I'm using a light pink ink. When I went to use a background stamp, it must have had some left over light blue on it as now my pink ink isn't pink anymore, but more of an orange. Any ideas on how to get the ink pad back (or at least close to) the color it was????
I tried that. It didn't work. I was able to get a really good clean on the background stamp by having it sit on a paper towel soaked in plain water and then dried on another paper towel, but I haven't had luck with the ink pad. I'm thinking that's shot and I will need a new one. :(

I've wiped off pads with baby wipes. I suppose light pink is a tough color and it was a BG stamp covering the whole ink pad. I've had luck with a small area.

Maybe try turning the pad upside right away so the bad color does not keep sinking down into the pad. Maybe the pink will carry the blue back to the top. blot the whole pad on paper towel over and over till it goes clean and then re-ink? Waste of ink but might save the pad and if you have to toss it the ink in it is lost anyway.
If it is a water based ink...you could try doing it on CS/Wc paper instead of paper towel and then adding other colors later and making BGs?
Stampin' Up's Classic pad Pink Piroutte. So it automatically stores upside down. I still have to try the baby wipe suggestion but if that doesn't work, I think I'll need to replace it. I guess after stamping for around 25 years, I was due for something to happen. lol
Can you wash all of the ink out of the pad and let it dry then re-ink it?
