Scrappin' Challenge 2017
Can you believe this is our 9th year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 through 2016 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2017! Let's keep scrappin'.

It was SO fun to chat about and see everyone's pages, goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2017! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...

What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!

Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person can share their page goals, pages and ideas. for those of use who like Annual Goals, we will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month.

*In this thread, we track our monthly goals. We find it helps us keep getting pages done which is good for all of us.

You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!

The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done all the while enjoying sharing with Virtual Friends.

I feel bad that I haven't been able to get in the gallery to comment on everyone else's pages...when the little one goes down for a nap, I try to get to my craft room to do as much stamping as possible while he sleeps and computer time goes by the wayside. I still have layouts I haven't photographed yet to upload!

Currently at 204 pages for the year, no specific goal for this month since I've already passed my annual best total for pages ever. Whee!

I managed to eke out 5 layouts in July, which puts my year to date at 41. I'm feeling inspired today, so I think I'll put myself down for 10 pages again this month and really try to reach that goal. Wish me luck!

My scrapbooking tip of the day for those who still have little kids at home: for my son's birthday, when it came time to open gifts, I posed him next to the gift giver and snapped a photo of him, the gift, and the giver. Printed the photos out, slipped them in pocket page protectors, added the kids' names, and now I have a photographic record of all his gifts. Easy peasy! Definitely going to do this again.

July was not a good month, I missed my goal by 3, my computer died and hubby was in the hospital for another surgery. It was a long month but hubby is home and on the mend, new computer and hopefully a new month full of mojo.
July was 7/10 Aug goal will be 12 My YTD is 73

Looks like everyone is off to a good start for August! [Patti, I'm hoping this month is better for you! Good to hear DH is home]

The start of this month finds me moving my DS ...again! We moved them into one apartment, it was shut down due to Gas Leak issues so they have to move out (into storage) and find another place to live, ugh! BUT, I'm so thankful they are safe.

I am doing 100 Days Crafty Project and it starts today. I decorated my August Planner pages, yay! I hope to be home this weekend to do some scrappin ... but not sure what my goals for the month are yet? Hmmm

I am out of state at daughters house staying with the grandchildren, , but I am still doing all the DTGD challenges. I brought supplies with mem. But don't know when I will get the Scraplift Challenge on. If I post it, it,m8'wont have a sample. Will try to get it on this week. I sure appreciate all your participation. Thank you!

Hi everyone, I'm in for August. I spent the past couple of days making a couple of panels for some cards...it's been a while and I had a play with some mixed media techniques as part of the challenge.

My goal for this month is to try and create 12 pages....I still have 4 project life ones to complete from last month and will finish those up and also the scraplift challenge if I can. Sorry Sharon, I left it too late but may get it done as part of this month if I can find appropriate photos.


I'm starting to open lots of stamps and dies that haven't seen daylight for the past year/months so I don't feel guilty when hubby asks what's in the bags when I've visited the scrapbook store..... There's a craft show on here this weekend but I'm being good and staying home LOL

Well, we're home from moving youngest DS -- a 2nd time in less than 2 weeks --- and it's all in storage, ahhh! The first apartment just wasn't meant to be ...

Believe it or not, I got 2 pages done tonight already! My MOJO seems to have found me and I'm playing along in a 100 Day Creative Challenge so I really hope that helps me get "caught up" some for this year ... or not? Oohhhh sigh. My goal is 30 pages

I got more scrappin' done tonight, I tried a pocket page .... I have some page protectors to "use up" in my stash so I joined a challenge to do some pages like that ... hopefully gets some of these "big picture" moments out of my photo box too? maybe .... it didn't on the first one but, it's done. Of course, I had to make a 2nd standard page to go with it

Glad you got some scrapping done. I put together one Project life page yesterday and have 3 more to complete the full page I did recently on LFC. I won't post the project life as they are pretty basic. I'm in a bit of a lull with my scrapping this week as I've just about finished youngest son's albums....phew.....but can't decide what to start on next.


I've a couple of pages I started for his albums years ago that I put aside as I couldn't complete them, so will return to them this weekend and bite the bullet once and for all and finish them. My style has changed so much that it's strange to go through the albums...it's as though different people have created the pages.


After that, I need time to sort my photos out on grandies and also our trips.


I need a push and it was easier when I had all the photos already printed off ready to go and had some direction. My mojo seems lost today.


So back to your question on my scrappy agenda this weekend....it's to do something...LOL...well.....make a plan. ;)

I just spent 3 nights working on a digital page for my son about his new car! Part of that was installing PSE 15 which was on sale... part of that was running the catalog function only to find out that in 9978 images I had NO maps! So there was the search early into yesterday morning looking for a kit with a map!

Hi ladies, well the greatest plans of mice and men sometimes go awry...lol. My weekend has not panned out so far as I expected. After spending time with the grandies and coming home to house chores (yuk), I decided to venture into my craft room and finish one of the pages that had been sitting there for years. It started out ok but by the end I realised that my creative mojo has gone into hibernation. Must be this weather here although the sun did have its hat on for a little while today ��I won't post the page as I'm not happy with it and am thinking I may dismantle it and start again, but there's a part of me that just wants it done and not to be so anal ����


It's dinner time here and hubby and I plan to watch one of our shows on tv so no more scrapping for me tonight and tomorrow we have a busy day....golf �� I have a craft morning with friends on Monday and also need to get organised for that. Hopefully my mojo will return by then.


Ytd......53 if we are allowed to count project life and counting the rushed page I've just finished.

I feel your pain, Jayne. Sometimes I just need to call a page finished and move on. There is always the option to come back later and make some fixes! I've spent parts of the last three days trying to come up with a sketch for this month, and I keep changing it because I hate how it looks. Finally decided I'm going to start over, so that's what I'm working on as soon as I get off the computer.

Jayne ... I feel your struggle. My Creative MOJO left me in December and has really just returned! I only have 27 pages done this year so far, gasp! I usually have over 100 plus by now but ... no matter how hard I tried it just wasn't there. I'm super glad it's back. I think my Creative mind just needed a hiatus. I sure read a lot of books

Hi Cheryl and Lela, I'm glad I'm not the only one and have left the page as is. I was tempted to take the photos off and start again, but decided I have to leave it and say it's done. I have to also accept I did start it about 3 years ago. I think my problem is that I really want our youngest son's album/s completed so I can move onto other pages so I'm rushing the ones I never completed and my style has changed so much in 3 years. ;)


The good news is that I found a digi photo to use for the challenge which Sharon posted in July and intend to finish one of the pages using that this week.


I went to my craft morning today and decided to make some cards sponging with die cuts on top with the colour showing through. By the time I had finished I had ink everywhere, including on parts of the cards where ink was not to go :-(, so they have all been tossed into a box to be completed another time. So frustrating. The best part was the company of friends I am spending a lot of time again watching videos to try and get my mojo happening. There's so much out there at present on Xmas and I can't begin to think of Xmas just yet.


Hope you found your mojo Cheryl and managed to complete your sketch. Lela, will check out August VSBN now...have been hanging out for it

I have mixed mine up frequently particularly when I have a lot of photos to scrap relating to one event ;) I did a LO for our youngest son's albums relating to a trip we took years ago to Egypt. I didn't want him to miss out on photos of some amazing sights. I used project life cards and also scrapped in some pockets as well as on single pages. It all flowed and came out well. I've also just included some of the pages in my gallery on LFC with project life pages to save time.

I've just completed 2 more pages that had been left unfinished for a few years. I worked with my original LO and added embellishments, , including using 3 dies that had been sitting in my stash for a while . 2 more done..phew. Not brilliant but done. I'm happy

Hello from sunny and hot Idaho!!! We have moved across the country and into our house. Slowly but surely everything is coming together. I am almost done setting up the craft room and the kiddo starts school on the 15th - that's when I plan to start back up scrapbooking

I am going to set my goal for 6 pages this month and hope to exceed that goal. I have missed all the challenges and can't wait to jump back in!
