Hello all! Hope this finds you all ready for a new CAS challenge.
I am thinking monochromatic with a twist. The twist is you can colour one portion of your image. i.e. if you use flowers, one flower only, not the leaves or other flowers. You can use the same colour for your stamping and colouring, or use the neutrals to stamp.
For this challenge kraft, white, black and grey are considered neutrals.
1. There is no deadline to play along with the CAS challenges. 2. Take all the time you need to finish and upload your card. 3. Upload your card to your gallery and link back to this thread so we all can see your project. 4. Please remember to put in the correct keyword CAS442 when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos. 5. Please feel free to combine the CAS challenges with any other challenge.
It is also highly recommended that you post a link to your creation in this chat thread to be sure your project is seen.
The challenges are to provide inspiration and to get us stamping, so have fun and follow your heART. We can't wait to see what you create!
Monochromatic colours are all the colours (tints, tones, and shades) of asingle hue.
Example of a monochromatic colour scheme
Monochromatic colour schemes are derived from a single base hue and extended using its shades, tones and tints. Tints are achieved by adding white and shades and tones are achieved by adding a darker colour, grey or black. Monochromatic colour schemes provide opportunities in art and visual communications design as they allow for a greater range of contrasting tones that can be used to attract attention, create focus and support legibility. The use of a monochromatic colour provides a strong sense of visual cohesion and can help support communication objectives through the use of connotative colour. The relative absence of hue contrast can be offset by variations in tone and the addition of texture. However, some say monochromatic can be boring, or colourless. I think our CAS gallery will prove this to be wrong. THE MORE YOU KNOW
Thanks for posting early, Kia. Last Monday's Papertrey Ink's "Make-it-Monday Challenge" had the same theme, so your challenge gave me the opportunity to create another card using this premise. Thanks.
Kia- awesome challenge, thanks! Iwent with brown and tan, with a hint of blue in my fussy cut background for my bunny. Added some texture with embossing and inked black ribbon for the TLC651 challenge. Here's Some Bunny

Thanks for the challenge. I have to say I found this challenge tough. I was initially trying to use flowers in my card but gave up on that and instead made a scene. I hope I got the instructions right.
This could be a real challenge in many ways. Not always an easy thing to pull off and look interesting. Here is what I came up with.

I have made hundreds of cards and so many people say it has brought joy to their lives which, in turn, brings joy to my life. Almost everyone I give them to says that they always save me, which I consider a huge compliment.
I saw several of you had included ribbon on yours and then took a look at today's technique challenge and since it was an easy one and basic supplies I already had decided to do another card adding in that technique. Fun Fun!

I'm a little late to the party with this challenge but I loved it. So much so that I made two cards! One meets all the criteria and the other bends the rules a bit. Both use the same stamp.
