Welcome to another challenge week with mixed media right here in the Mix-Ability forum!
Our challenge is to be inspired by the cover of a favorite book from the color, layout, image or whatever else is inspiring. Remember to use 2 or more mediums to qualify for the mixed media challenge and have some fun!
Well, it was hard to think of a book. To Kill a Mockingbird is defnitely in my top favourites but not an inspiring cover - and the Terry Pratchett books require a range of fantasy stamps which I wouldn't ever aspire to have in my collection. So I thought back, and went with The Man Who Was Magic, by Paul Gallico. Attaching a photo of the original dust-cover - mine was lost long ago!! Looking at it now, I guess in the end the pink of my card matches more my book cover than the original paper one. Oh well - I was inspired by it.
Janelle I have toooooo many favorite books - I am always reading a book. So that is why I have a stack of books on my card. Giggles ... such a fun challenge today!!

Hi, I am new to this challenge and have a question - Is it necessary to make a card or can I make a journal page too? The challenge this week is really interesting and I am hoping to try and make a page with it. Thanks
For a mixed media challenge I'm sure an art journal page will be just great! In fact for most of the daily challenges, you don't have to make a card..except where it is strictly dictated by the type of challenge.

Welcome, Aastha!
Happy to have you join us! If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask us here! Thanks to Sabrina for giving you a quick reply, I've been away all weekend.
Yes!. Your project for the challenge can be anything you want. Card, scrapbook page, altered art, journal page, 3-dimensional art, etc. Can't wait to see your finished project!
