Default Glue Round Label to Metal Jar Lid

Found a cute teacher jar on Pinterest, trying to recreate. Wanted to make the paper circle label glue to the top a sticker, but my xyron is too narrow.
I considered trying to laminate, but not sure I want to go there. Blog says they attached the label with glue dots, I have my concerns it will stay in place long term in an elementary schoolroom. Any suggestions?

I'd probably reach for my scor-tape. Doesn't have to go all the way to edges, necessarily. Scor-tape does also come in sheets if you want it to cover the entire back of your label.

Rangers multi-medium should keep it stuck there forever.
