July Scrap Pages and Chatter - sbc17jul
Scrappin' Challenge 2017
Can you believe this is our 9th year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 through 2016 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2017! Let's keep scrappin'.
It was SO fun to chat about and see everyone's pages, goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2017! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person can share their page goals, pages and ideas. for those of use who like Annual Goals, we will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month.
*In this thread, we track our monthly goals. We find it helps us keep getting pages done which is good for all of us.
You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done all the while enjoying sharing with Virtual Friends.
Are you UP for the CHALLENGE? Come and Play in the 2017 Scrapbook Challenge! Here's to Meeting our Scrapping Goals & Meeting New Friends!
We'd love to "oohh" and "aahh" over your pages so please post with key word "sbc17jul"

So.... It's really JULY?! ( and I may have some explaining to do...)
A couple of months ago, I had a dear friend who I hadn't seen for a awhile ask me if I was okay, cuz like she said.... "You look stressed!" after much thought and prayer, I came to the realization that I needed to elimate some stress and negativity from my life. My job agreement was coming to an end so I knew I was going back to just being the Matriarch of a super busy family. Which I love... By the way!
In thinking all this through, I decided that I needed to take a step back away from all my social media avenues and spend more time in the scriptures and service. I felt like I was becoming too "business" in attitude. I took May off and then May turned into June and now July is here! I have learned a few things along the way that I thought I might share.
1. Prayer is always necessary
2. Date nights are a must!
3. Chick Flicks are required
4. Naps are NOT a waste of time...
5. Grandaughters are amazing (we have 3 now)
6. Food is always better shared with family and friends
7. Don't piss-off your friends in politics
8. Service (helping others) requires two willing parties
9. You don't have to be Mormon to have visiting teachers...lol
10. And thinking I am still 20 is a load of crap!
With all this being said... I also decided that I have missed posting and using my facebook as my creative outlet for my own personal pat-on-the-back. Things I share there are of my own thoughts, feelings, political views, recipes and crafts. I often quote scriptures, share facts and give you my opinion. Like it or not is entirely up to you...
I welcome feedback with a open mind, a broad heart and I am always up for a good debate!
I am so glad to be back to crafting and scrapping with all you here too...
My goal for July is going to be 10 pages, 10 cards, 10 altered projects with only a $10.00 budget.

Ohhh Sunday!
I've been scrappin' this weekend so I'll have some pages to upload here tonight! Very fun .... I actually have off the next couple days and I'm looking forward to a get-away with my DH and youngest DS ;)
The JULY VSBN is Posted. Ugh! SCS has been terrible for posts lately so it was another few hours to get all the links but ... it's done. Hopefully it will be fun and inspiring for more pages ... I know I got a couple done with these

Hi All. [waving]
I can't believe July is here already! And I just realized this coming Friday is CKC in Lancaster.
Lela, are you coming this year at all? I signed up for a boatload of classes hoping it'll get me in the mood and back in the swing of crafting.
I've made one card in the past several months so I need a kickstart
Glad to see you back Anavon. I'll have to check out your postings. I've always enjoyed them. We are heading back to Myrtle Beach at the end of summer so I was just thinking of you!
Have a happy, safe 4th Holiday for those in the US!

July was a scrappy bust for me, although great in other ways. I made some memories with my family and took some pictures to scrapbook someday! For July, I really want to get back on track, so I am planning for 14 layouts which will get me to 50 YTD. Hopefully my mojo returns soon. It's been on vacation a long time . . . My YTD total is currently 36.

I miss chatting with everyone but I come home at night and flop...literally
DGS has been so busy with 2 different baseball leagues and now they have qualified for the end of year championships so more games start Thursday for 2 weeks. Then he goes to Boy Scout Jamboree in West Virginia for 10 days so I might finally get some downtime but I'm not holding my breath!
I still stop in here as I can to check on everyone to see what's up.

sbc17jul - Time with Em
Time with Em by Ozpom - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
Here's a double page LO I started at my craft day earlier this week and finally completed yesterday. I had intended to submit it as part of the June VSBN challenge as I took inspiration from the 6 photo sketch, flipping one side. I had to modify the sketch slightly to suit my photos.
Thanks for taking time to look.
YTD: 44
Goal for July: 2/8....I'm on a roll.
I spent time yesterday evening going through all of the VSBN July challenges...wow, wow, wow...I already have chosen some I'd like to do and just have to find the photos to suit now. It's stormy weather here today and forecast for the rest of this week, so maybe I will get time to scrap.
Happy days everyone.

Hi! Sharon sent me here...I am a bad girl...I have not done any scrapbooking for a LONG time. Well I just joined a class and I will use it to get me moving on digital pages. My son and his GF are all digital so I guess I need to jump on. I will make the digital pages so I can print them out and post them in a frame for them to see... let's see how this goes. Class starts on the 14th

...Definite MAYBE.... I had planned to, even have the same Customer Meeting Set up for Monday ... I had planned to come out Friday, go CKC Saturday and then to the Keller's Crop on Sunday but they canceled the Crop Sunday as not enough people signed up. For whatever reason this year, I didn't see more than a couple classes I wanted ... ugh. I hate when I'm indecisive. I'll let you know Friday if I'm headed that way
I was thinking of just staying home and using the time to Scrap ... my MOJO actually showed back up here recently and I've been on a roll... haha!

Hey chickadees! We were super busy at the end of June/beginning of this month...hubs got promoted at work, so there was a ceremony and we had lots of family come into town and stay with us for a week. My parents just left on Wednesday afternoon. We took lots of pictures so I'm sure there will be more scrappin' in my future I still haven't even posted all the pages I did in June!!! I worked on a layout today but have to get the hubs to do the journaling on it (I have him write if it's stuff that he does and I don't, he's pretty good about cooperating with me). I'm at like 174? I think for the year, no specific goals but just want to get done as many layouts as I can while the kid still naps a good portion of the day. Except today. He did not want to nap today :p

Birthday Boy...again!
Here's a LO I've just completed as part of the VSBN17jul challenge, stage 1.
The photos are of our boy..again...LOL...on his 11th, 16th and 23rd birthdays....or at least opening his cards and pressies. He's born after Xmas and as he gets older, we sometimes only see him after Xmas and his birthday, depending on his social life...LOL, so photos of parties are few and far between since he turned 21.
Thanks for looking and hope you are having a great weekend.
Birthday Boy by Ozpom - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
Would love to hear how your weekend is going and if you have plans to do something exciting.
We had a wonderful day yesterday babysitting and playing with our grandies, aged 6 and 4. I did lots of craft.....helping them.....and my craft room looked as though a cyclone had gone through afterwards, plus we all had inky fingers...
My GS had a stencil imprint on his hands and thought it was very cool...LOL. So love spending time with them.
I started my day at Body Balance class today and then we went out for a long lunch with friends to celebrate them becoming Aussie citizens. Once we were back home, hubby was keen to watch his sport...so what must a girl do, but craft. . Now time for us to watch one of our favourite shows before bedtime.
Tomorrow, it will be a quiet day. Usually we play golf together, but not this week, so I'm hoping to disappear into my craft room again at some stage...LOL.
Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend.
YTD: 45
3/8..... I hope to get some more completed this week as we are heading off next weekend for a week down the south of our state.

What am I doing this weekend? Why, crafty things, of course.
Last night I played with Distress Oxide inks and made a few backgrounds, actually made one card.
This morning I mowed half of the front yard before I got too tired. Thinking of my new little 3 drawer plastic I recently bought I have started sorting bags and piles. Had to stop to cook lunch. I'm sure I'll get back to it soon.
No other definite plans, but I want to finish organizing the little things and make my work space neater. I really want to make a "beach" card, then hope to dive into some of our challenges.
Happy weekend everyone - hope it's crafty!

Hello all, June was a total bust for scrapping for me. We have had a revolving door of company, work, and other commitments. I'm setting goal for 5 pages for July and hoping I can squeeze in some play time today. Finally sat and looked at challenges and pages people have already added. You ladies are amazing! Great inspiration in your work and ideas.
Goal For July 5:

Morning! My class starts on the 14th and we are doing 8 layouts. As soon as I finish one I will post. I am feeling very crafting deprived! I look at all the beautiful pages everyone one has made... I said eek! There is no way I can do anything that good!

Happy Sunday Scrappy Sisters!
It's been a delightful weekend here at HOME ... yay! As most of you know, when I do get to stay home from travel, it's a nice thing
I started the day yesterday with a Boxing Class. Finally, found the MOJO to get back to class at the nearby gym. So energizing to start the day with a workout. I finished cleaning my closet and spent the afternoon in my Scrap Room. I finished some cards and 1 VSBN Scrap page ...
Today I did a walkfit exercise, church and now I'm off to the local craft store as they're having a "Rock Painting" Event. LOL! Have you heard of this new trend? I'm part of a group on Facebook and they paint rocks and put them places for people to find and rehide. Kind of a fun idea, brings smiles. I haven't painted any yet so I'm going to the store to see what supplies it takes. I'll be back in my Scrap Space later as I'm picking up some photos. Not that I don't have hundreds here already but it always inspires me when I pick up a new batch
Scrap On ....

Someone told my DD about the rocks recently. We have found two and was so totally happy! She has some cleaned up and ready but hasn't painted any yet.
