I am quite certain that I am NOT alone in the fact that I have kept WAY more than my share of stamp sets that I just don't have the heart to get rid of. When I first started "collecting" stamps, I got VERY excited about background stamps. And I used to use them a LOT more than I do now. Not quite sure WHY that is. So I looked into my arsenal and picked out one of my "oldies but goodies" ...
So here is where your challenge comes in! Go find an "old" (or perhaps just a little dusty) background stamp and use it!! Give it some of the love it deserves from having waited so patiently for you to notice it and bring it back to life again!!

Thanks, for a great challenge, Wendy. I have always loved the Stampin Up weathered background so your challenge made me get it out and use it. I need to use it more often for masculine cards. Here is my card:
Fun Challenge Wendy. I have to do this more often. Here's my card.

I swiped the Distress Ink across the page and then went over it with Gamasol, blew dry it dry; and then stamped my flowers on it. Wendy, I have not used this SNS stamp set in a long long time!!

Terrific challenge today, Wendy. I have an entire row of background stamps on one of my shelves, some new, many old. I need to bring those oldies but goodies out more often!
I didn't upload this to the challenge gallery because I stamped it back in 2009 (though for some reason I didn't upload it to SCS then) but this challenge made me think of it and it does feature a now old background stamp so I thought I'd share it here in the thread. Baroque Friend
Here is mine. The vertical Our Father. I could never get it to stamp well before
the MISTI. I've unmounted all my background stamps and really enjoy using them with the MISTI.
