Hello, I'm looking for a portable storage solution for my set of 80 Zig Clean Color Markers. I need it to be portable as I often take them with me to craft with friends. I bought the set of 60 which comes in a cool case. Then I supplemented my collection with the additional 20 colors which do not fit in the case. They are skinnier than other markers so they may flop around in normal marker cases. I would like something with individual slots for each pen as opposed to just a zippered pouch.
Anyone else with this problem? Solutions? TIA!

I'd like to see what people have to say about this too. I have the 24 set and am wondering how long that plastic case will last. Would like to find something a little better.
Thanks for the links. Some are a little pricey but I do like the last one as it is portable and looks like the markers will be secure and not flop around. That train case is so cute but where would I get one of those? I'll keep my eye out, I guess! Thanks again!

Would you be ok with pencil cases? They have elastics to hold each one and I think Zigs would fit. But just ck the dims-I dont know if the pens are longer.
Here's one along the lines I am thinking of, but there are many variations on this theme.
I use a case that I think was originally marketed for Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. It's about 4-5 inches square and made of nylon with a zip top. My markers fit with room for a couple of water pens. I think the cost was around $5.00.

Just fyi, this is what Kuretake says about storage of Clean Color Brushes:
"Hello Beth,
Thank you for reaching out to Kuretake, to answer your question the clean color real brush needs to be stored horizontally. However, while using the brushes if you need to keep them vertical just during the use you are more than welcome to do so but continue to keep them horizontally and stored in room temperature climate.
Thank you,
Morgan Micheli"
My sense is that a lot of people store them vertically and they do fine, just wanted to pass along what the company line is. (Actually, I asked and one CS rep said vertically - I asked if she was sure and she emailed back an apology and said horizontally. Then I emailed someone who had helped me with a Kuretake Gansai question, and his response is above.)
(I have very old Prismacolor markers I don't use for crafting, but needed for color theory/rendering classes, and I recently found out they're supposed to be stored horizontally. But mine are fine although they've in plastic peanut containers similar to Dini's, just larger.)
So glad to see this thread is still going as my marker collection is starting to outgrow the 6x6 Deflector cube I’d been using for both my ZIG and Copic markers. I don’t necessarily need portable, but am more concerned with accessibility and a small footprint if anyone has more recommendations.

Organize More has their new and older marker storage units (with about a 5" footprint) that they build, and sells other companies' solutions as well. They're a small, family owned business and a pleasure to do business with - I have quite a few of their products. The items they make themselves aren't usually available instantly, so holiday orders need to be in by November 10, I believe. https://www.organizemore.com/collect...tandard-marker
I actually use a little drawer unit from Michaels for some of my coloring mediums, since I like taking a drawer out all the way and plopping it in front of me. And I use X-cubes for others, but don't like them. My Zig Clean Color Brushes are in one.
There are a LOT of them on Amazon...so if you want a particular color or to go fancy with leather...poke around!
I tried a similar case and while the elastic did stretch just enough to hold the ZIGs, it was too tight to get them in and out easily. I tried this case so, you don't want this one, lol:

Note the "More Photos" tab to see other ways to use it. I have a few of Tiffany's smaller cases, well made and she's lovely.
(Not that the following matters other than it's nice buying from nice people: At a Stamp & SB Expo she was so helpful when I was looking for a punch storage solution, and didn't blink when the next day I brought an item back to swap to a different size.
She runs a free, live 8-session organizing class from time to time - one just ended. She shows her products but generally more toward the end, and always mentions alternatives. You can chat with other attendees. I didn't use many of her products for my recent mega-purging/organizing but the class was motivating and fun.)

Reason: added smaller case
