TYPE OF CARDS: miss you, thinking of you, birthday, congratulations, thank you, see you soon, get well, encouragement, Christian, and cards without an occasion listed on front. Stamp some on the inside for youth who don’t quite know what to say, leave some blank for those kids who are more expressive. We’d love a variety! please include envelopes.
SPECIAL RESTRICTIONS: so if we can make the humble request to not include anything that may be considered “sharp” that would be awesome...such as metal, straight pins, or staples.
GUIDELINES: Please keep in mind, we are representing SCS by sending our cards each month. Recycling is always good, but only use products on your cards that you would like to receive on cards. Also, our card donations are not tax deductible and it is not required. Please do not ask for a receipt. There have been groups that will send thank you's but the "referred by" person keeps us informed and passes on the thank you's. Most of these organizations are volunteers and spend countless hours helping others, lets help make their jobs easier and bless them in helping others.

I offered to puppy sit our daughter's mini doxie the past week. I was only able to make 3 cards so far because he is my new Best Friend and it's hard to make cards with him sitting on my lap! LOL!
I'll get more done next week, he goes home on Tuesday afternoon. It was fun but geez, he sure has a lot of energy and we're not used to being so "popular"!!

I just got this from Jennifer Wallace. If any of you haven't sent cards yet, she's added thank you cards to the list. Bless you ladies for all of the love that goes into making cards.
Good morning Sue,
We received two boxes today one from New Jersey and one from Illinois! It’s so awesome to see cards pour in. Truly we are so incredibly grateful! The kids are so happy to see them, staff are absolutely delighted and it’s honestly a win-win all the way around. Please share how impactful this card ministry is to our young people (and our not so young people). At the request of the kids, the activity department actually has been working on making cards with youth. These cards are inspiring young people to give and to also create. It’s a truly beautiful thing! Thank you!!
Speaking of grateful, if I may make a special request...we are working on the importance of gratitude with youth and thus are burning through “thank you” cards. Youth are sending them to volunteer groups who spend time behind the fence, family members who have made a special impact, and even staff. It’s been a really beautiful thing. May I be so bold as to request additional thank you cards?
Great thanks to you for rallying troops and showering us with the most precious creative gifts imaginable. I appreciate you, Sue. Thank you so much!
Best,
Jennifer Wallace

I'm so glad I checked in. I'm working on my box of cards and was going to switch to making more birthday cards but I think I'll go with what I have and add some more thank you cards.
I'll also go through my stash. I'm sure I can include some stamp sets for them.

I just mailed my cards today. I can't believe the impact the cards are having on the kids at this place. They want to make some of their own cards! Thank you God for helping make a difference in these kids' lives through the cards we make.
