Challenge Title: BackgroundsHostess: Kia (kiagc) Keyword: CAS431 Date: May 28, 2017
While looking through the gallery I noticed a lot of CAS cards are done in white ... don't get me wrong, I love white and the beauty of a white background. But, to change it up a bit I thought we might pay more attention to our background for this challenge. Use a special technique, or designer paper, or embossing folders - make a different background for today's Clean and Simple Challenge.
1. There is no deadline to play along with the CAS challenges. 2. Take all the time you need to finish and upload your card. 3. Upload your card to your gallery and link back to this thread so we all can see your project. 4. Please remember to put in the correct keyword CAS431 when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos. 5. Please feel free to combine the CAS challenges with any other challenge.
It is also highly recommended that you post a link to your creation in this chat thread to be sure your project is seen.
The challenges are to provide inspiration and to get us stamping, so have fun and follow your heART. We can't wait to see what you create!
Thanks to Anita for letting me know my TLC card also fit this challenge. I rarely combine challenges because I don't take the time to check other challenges until I've posted my cards, so this was a nice coincidence!

Thanks for the quick and easy challenge today, Kia! I may have to try to get a pic in different lighting as my original does not really show the depth of color I got with this technique. Here is my card for now.
Thanks Kia..I love making backgrounds! I combined this with Karen's challenge but I may make another card later...I need to get out for a walk before rain moves in..;)
This is one of the earlier cards that I made but I have made quite a few since using this same technique which I think comes out rather nicely.

Good morning! A simple Background today of one color of alcohol ink and some blending solution on a felt pad. The "trees" are from today's TLC challenge.
And here I am again! Hope this is not too many. But I just made this last night and it was perfect for the challenge.

For today's Background challenge- used a nice bicycle photo for my background, adding a fussy cut sentiment, and a stamped and colored butterfly. Used a simple yarn wrap for my embellishment. Here's with gratitude

went with a dc top note style panel from Sizzix- applied the ink pads directly, misting them with water, and wiping with a paper towel, then blow drying. Did a grey ink treatment and stamped my fish, crumpling the panel afterwards, then flattening it out. Added simple metal mini brads, and mesh and fabric strip borders. Here's swimming carp

Thanks for today's challenge, Kia! It fit perfectly with some other challenges, and was fun to do! Perfect for creating a custom-colored background for the Color Challenge, too.
