Happy Thursday and welcome to this week's Ways to Use It Challenge. Carla here as your hostess. Last week was Be Kind to Animals week and this week is National Pet week. Add some kids and you've got the perfect combination for fun and for a cute card! Were you lucky enough to have a pet when you were a child? We'd love to hear about your favorite pet or the one you always wished for.
I'm looking forward to seeing your crafty creations and hearing your stories! When you upload your card to the gallery be sure to use WT635 as the keyword. Then come back and share a link here - that makes it easy for people to find your card.
Big thanks to Lisa, Sabrina and Cathy for their marvelous samples! I'm so lucky to be on this talented team

We always had dogs and either parakeets are canaries in our house when I was little. But I'm a cat lover at heart. I finally persuaded my parents to let me have a cat when I was around 10. I must confess to being one of those little girls who terrorized her cat. My best friend and I used to dress up our cats and push them around in doll carriages. Poor cats!
Here are the extra two cards I made after ripping the first one apart!
We always had pets too - normally three cats and two dogs plus sundry small pets - guinea-pigs, gerbils, hamsters (oddly, never a rabbit!), canaries, budgies, a seagull for one summer while a broken wing mended, a jackdaw (small crow) for his whole life, mice...I have a recent blog post which shows some of our cats, including my beloved childhood pet who was the sweetest cat you can imagine...although her habit of bringing dead rats in to me in the middle of the night was not an endearing habit . I had her from when I was about 5 till...well, I was married when she finally went to cat heaven.
My dad tried his taxidermy skills on my guinea-pig who was a rough-haired one with a gorgeous coat. Let's just say it was a failure!!!
Here are my cards - late uploading as we had no internet when I got home from work yesterday.
We always had dogs and cats. My parents use to bred standard poodles. We all each had our own dogs that we were responsible for grooming, walking and feeding. My dog was a black standard poodle and I called him Stormy. He was so playful.
Great challenge Carla. Thanks for the memory. Here is my card
Thanks for the wonderful challenge, Carla .. gave me a chance to color just for fun! I am a huge pet lover, especially dogs and have had 7 of them over my life, four of which were goldens. I've also had cats, fish, hamsters, gerbils, mice, and even a ferret.
My card: Unfailing Love
Carla-great challenge, thanks! I used 3 stamp sets for my card- adding texture with a raffia tie and my ribbon border. Can't go wrong with cute animals and kids! Here's Country HB

Great theme Carla! You got me out of my stamping funk...don't know why but I haven't been wanting to stamp lately...Anyway I did want to try out my new Distress Oxide inks so I did that...they're very cool. I had an aquarium when I was little but I don't think that lasted too long...I could tell my mom didn't like cleaning it..too much work! Our family did hve several dogs but being the youngest I only remember our last dog which we had until I was about 10...a beagle :p
Carla this was a fun fun challenge!! I remember skating in our garage all day long -- I love to skate as a very young child. I had those that had the metal wheels and the white leather. How old does that make me? Anyone care to guess? LOL
Oh I loved my puppies I grew up with. I had a lot of dogs growing up. Now I have a cat. - go figure!

I was almost stumped by this challenge. I have very few kids stamps, let alone kids with pets. But I remembered some Bugaboo digitals I purchased several years ago. Here's my card:
Fun challenge!

I wanted a dog growing up, but didn't get one until I purchased a house with a big yard in my 30's. I believe that the girl is wearing a dress in this image, which I wouldn't have been caught dead in as a child! LOL!
Thanks for looking.

Throughout my life, and throughout the lives of my children, we have always had Rescue Dogs. I hope I have instilled the importance of having rescue pets into both my kids. This is a tribute to both my kids, and my dogs!WT635 Rescue Love
Thank you, Carla, for this challenge - two of my favorites! Kids and puppies!
The minute I saw the challenge I wanted to play along, and it's taken me nearly a week to get back here (prom, graduation, appointments, etc!)
Finally had a chance to play along with this challenge (only 4 months behind- lol!)...I never had a pet when growing up but always wanted one. I have always loved cats and dogs and as soon as I left home, I adopted two kitties and have owned cats ever since (42 years and my current "girls" are 12 and are part of my second set of 3). Cats are definitely my "kids" :-)
