Also, our card donations are not tax deductible and it is not required. Please do not ask for a receipt. There have been groups that will send thank you's but the "referred by" person keeps us informed and passes on the thank you's. Most of these organizations are volunteers and spend countless hours helping others, lets help make their jobs easier and bless them in helping others.
For a little added inspiration you can join us in playing along with the OPTIONAL challenge each month. This is only optional and you do not have to play along to send your cards to the featured cause for the month. We always take cards no matter if you play along in the challenge or not. This months challenge is to be inspired by the color/mood board, see first post below. Be sure to use the keyword C4AC so that we can check out your card and comment! I thought it would be fun to use a color/mood board for our OPTIONAL inspiration this month. There are so many things to inspire with a color/mood board; the colors, the texture, the shapes, or even the layout/sketch. If you copy the photo be sure to give the credit to the creator.

Here's a look at 7 of the 10 cards I am sending off tomorrow. Did 5 with a sentiment and 5 without. Used last week's sketch for several since I liked it so much and it was cute and simple.
After a long absence from SCS, I'm back and looking forward to getting involved again.
Cards for a Cause caught my eye for a few reasons. I love making cards, but crafting has to mean something. Creating something that will put a smile on someone's face or help someone just get through their day is a great outlet for creativity and the need to help/serve others.
I can't wait to see the May recipient and get going making some cards!
