I was checking out your gallery Jayne and saw your question on adhering papers that are hard to adhere together. I have had a lot of trouble with those thick mulberry type papers like the yellow one you used in your layout, also adhering anything to glitter paper, and metal objects to pages.
I like mixed media products and over time I have collected some that I do not use as intended as I did not like the results or just don't use them often enough for other things..they seem to last forever!
Some those products work well for adhering the aforementioned papers and embellishments to the page.
Gloss gel
multi-medium gloss
texture paste
mod podge will work too, as with any of them you only need a thin layer and most, if not all, dry clear!
The gloss gel is what I use the most often as I don't use it at all for its intended use of doing photo transfers.

Thanks Sharon for this info. It's very helpful. I have gesso and have just bought gel medium. I also have mod podge and dimensional magic from years ago and forget to use them. I'll check gloss gel as I don't think I've heard of this but I will use up my stash first. I went shopping yesterday and broke the bank (again) ;-) and bought up lots of mixed media embellishments, stamps, etc. I am just loving playing with different techniques. I watch so many videos and forget what I've seen so now I am trying things out in my journal and keeping notes for when I make LOs or cards.
I did end up stapling the yellow paper on my LO and it looks really cool.
I put up the post about National Scrapbooking Month to try and motivate more people on the site to scrapbook as this week I've heard 2 comments about scrapbooking being a dying craft. I have friends who used to scrapbook and still have stash but can't find the time so they now just make cards. I'm trying to encourage them to return to scrapping as well. Not sure if this forum was the right place, or even if I'm allowed to put up such posts....I'm still learning.
Thanks again. Happy day. Loving the group and creating.

2017 was supposed to be the Year of Scrap for me and as of April 14, I have not completed a single page. As soon as I get a big card project done, I am through with cards and scrapping like a fool. I got my craft room reorganized for optimal work area and stuff organization.
Long live scrapbooking!

I'm getting ready to celebrate NSD on Saturday - all by myself! I've got several pages, parts and photos all ready to go. I used to follow along on on-line activities on that day but, haven't found any for this year. Does anyone know any on-line sites that will be having challenges and such on Saturday?

Hi Dianne
Why not do the monthly challenges with our group for May? There's a scrap lift, 5 separate challenges and a sketch challenge every month. May has already been set. Check them out. I'm sure there's some challenges for you to do. I intend to do these as part of National Scrapbooking Day.
The link is via Virtual Scrapbooking Night under May or you can go to Scrapbooking and monthly goals & chatter for May. I don't have the exact link but see posts above in this thread.
Happy scrapping.
