Handy Cart
If you have ever lusted after that cute Ikea Raskog cart but don't have an Ikea store near, Costco currently has a cart about the same price (ca. $29.95), a little taller, and includes one more tray than the Raskog. I think there is only the one color available though.

Sure looks like a helpful item. No Ikea OR Costco around here, though.

That looks very similar to a cart available at Walmart. We don't have a Costco or Ikea close, so I was happy to find it. I purchased one and it was easy to assemble and is sturdy. It has 3 shelves, and is almost identical to the Ikea Raskog cart:

I got my Raskog (ooh, turquoise!) from Craigslist a couple of weeks ago. I found it to be very heavy duty...both construction-wise and weight-wise. It is a lot heavier than the Mainstays one. Haven't seen the Costco one, but it's time for a Costco trip for me. Maybe I'll see one in the store and check it out. I wouldn't mind a tan one like that for my kitchen.

I have a Raskog and found the Costco cart to be just as sturdy. If the two were side by side I would probably opt for the Costco one because of its additional storage. But the Ikea turquoise is sure nice....

I've bought from Costco online and had it shipped. I'm not a member but the price was still better than what I could find elsewhere.

I haven't looked for this cart in the Michaels stores, so I don't know if they stock it. It would probably depend on the store.

I saw an assembled cart at Michaels this week, but I rather doubt there were any boxed ones left. What a deal with the 40% coupon, after all!

IKEA discontinued the aqua color in the Raskog. Bad move.

Yes, it was. Especially with the current color choices. Blech!

I purchased the mint recollections cart from Michael's. Two weeks ago they had 50% scrapbook storage & additional 20% off coupon regular & sale items...so final cost was $24....I bought 2. Can't compare with others since I don't own them. I like them

This is a great cart. I saw it last week at our Costco. Looks very sturdy and well put together. I have a seven drawer taller but narrower rolling all metal cart that I bought at Costco a couple years ago. I keep it next to my desk. It is so handy and I think this one is great because you can put taller stuff in each tier.

Finally found these at our Costco! Bought one, filled it with stamping tools then went back and bought another for my jewelry making supplies. There are two sets of holes in the trays that allows about an inch of height adjustment for each tray. Nice to be able to get taller items in and have easy access.

I picked up the mint one from Michaels a week or so ago but I haven't had a chance to put it together, but I think I might have to get at least 1 more if not two, as I think it would be good in the room I use as my dressing room.

My minty green cart from Michaels has been loaded up with card blanks, matting layers and envelopes. I love the look of it and am very tempted to get at least one more but I keep buying different types of organizational tools and I really need to stop lol!

Wow that's super handy. I envy all that cut cardstock too. I like the size of those; you can reach around and get what you need. My cart has narrow but tall drawers so it's not as versatile as this one but it is mobile and I can tuck it away when not in use. One on each side would be pretty handy. Like the color.

I jumped on the Jennifer McGuire bandwagon, and I got my local staples to cut the card stock down for me, here in Canada it cost a pretty penny but I am reaping the rewards from it as it is so handy to just have the card ready to go.

I did the same thing - and my Staples wrecked it! They told me there was a .00 something "drift" possibility, which I thought was okay. It was NOT .00 anything unless it was 007 because they killed my cardstock!!
I'll try again when an adult is working, but I was not happy.

I've had the same experience. I cut my own paper. Just set aside a time to do it.

I had good luck with my Fed Ex (formerly Kinkos) store on the cut cardstock. They had adults and they had a very modern precise machine. Not guarantees though. That would kill me to have all my cardstock mangled.

They actually sent mine away to be laser cut as they said it would slightly off and they didn't want to risk it.

Hi--Do you have a Raskog cart? If so, was assembly difficult? I am thinking about ordering one online, but can't tell from the online information if assembly is involved or easy. Thank you.

I got the Raskog and did not find it too difficult to assemble. I'm 74 and pretty handy about putting stuff together.
Here is another viewpoint about the assembly from a gal who had trouble, with pictures:

Ditto Bugga's experience. I've put two together, even though bad knees keep me from getting down on the floor, and that I hand off more complicated/larger IKEA furniture to my DH. If you're comfortable at all with a screw driver and following step-by-step directions you should be fine. I think IKEA directions are clear, but we all have different comfort zones.
I first sort the hardware into an old mini muffin baking pan and lay the parts out. Focusing on just one step at a time helps me.
The IKEA raskog page has the complete assembly instructions. Select the "Assembly and Documents" tab. The PDF is there. RSKOG Utility cart - IKEA
Or maybe the direct PDF URL will work: http://www.ikea.com/us/en/assembly_i...3329-5_pub.pdf
But it's less confusing when you have the parts in front of you.
Enjoy!

My husband loves putting things together (and, as the saying goes, opposites attract). He said he didn't have any problems but he also (probably) used a screwdriver with a magnetized head. It's the one we keep handy which is why I said probably (he doesn't remember for sure).

I have never seen it in Costco's online store, only in the actual store. It was sold out around March but back in the store a few weeks ago - no telling for how long.

I was in Michael's this week and bought their mint cart on sale for $29.95. I was so excited! Great deal and I've had my eye out at TJ Maxx, Shopko, Target for some additional storage that's affordable.
I already have the blue Raskog from IKEA but I had to order it online, and I think with shipping it was almost $40.

The gray cart from Target is on sale right now for $24.99, and they will ship it free to your Target store:

Don't know why the link showed up with that title. It works for the cart page.
