Butterflies and Bustiers...Lift Them Up Girls
Note: Anyone is welcome to play! You automatically become a Teapotter the first time you play in our challenge. Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun! The Rest of the Story:
1: Did you ever just sit and watch a butterfly whirl on the wing currents, lifting up higher and higher. They always seem to carry my thoughts with them and it always brightens my day a little to watch them. Just lifting me up so to speak when I need it.
2: Well ladies, that is also what a good bustier is made to do;-lift the girls up. And that is just what fellow butterfly watcher and bustier crafter Lulu Lila Sue is all about. Down in her workroom she can be found amidst the piles of lace, ribbons, boning, stays, hooks, and all the other necessary things to add to the fancy fabrics she finds to give the girls a much needed lift. And a lift to your spirits as well when the girls are comfortable and proud. She is very committed to her craft and is determined to see all the girls in town standing up the way they should.
3: In order to perform this magic, she takes measurement after measurement and nips and tucks the muslin just so to make the best fitting pattern she possibly can for each lady and then makes the lovely and sometimes fancy bustiers in several stages. Each stage requires more try-ons, more measuring, more tucking, and more snipping. Before the stays are put in the fit must be perfect, the lines must be slim and not bulky, and the "extras" in just the right places so that no one but you knows about the beads, sequins, and lace that you are wearing out in public on what they think is just an ordinary day. "For Shame" we dare to be fancy on a week-day.
4: So needless to say that one of these super customized, over the top creations takes a long time to be ready, and the cost may be a bit prohibitive but when you see how well you look with the girls properly supported, it doesn't matter. And Lulu Lila Sue has many repeat customers and always gets orders for special bustiers for special occasions, like weddings and anniversaries. Or Valentine's day....Ooooh La La, and hubbie's birthday.....Ummmm
5: And this also requires lots of shopping and visiting the "Fashion St" stores and peeking and poking into all the little shops that might be hiding some really wild and fancy add ons. Well, that does add lots of fun, bling and wow factor but it does cause a bit of a storage issue. Esp. when you aren't of the methodical type and you tend to be a little hither and yon like Lulu Lila Sue tends to be. So on this lovely day after seeing a particularly lovely pale pink butterfly floating around her garden, she is determined to add just a teensy bit of that really fancy gauzy embroidered Italian silk to this creation she is working on now. Trouble is, she can't remember where she put it or even what color bag it was in.
6: RUTROH!!!! Teapotters, surely someone has some fancy pink frou frou piece somewhere that she can add. And if one of you is a champion organizer, that would surely be appreciated as well by all her friends and family who are continually getting waylaid to help her look for things.
Challenge Translation:
Butterflies, flowers, and even some bustiers...bring on the joy, hope, and "you can do its" to lift up her spirits.
