Can you believe this is our 9th year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 through 2016 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2017! Let's keep scrappin'.
It was SO fun to chat about and see everyone's pages, goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2017! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person can share their page goals, pages and ideas. for those of use who like Annual Goals, we will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month.
*In this thread, we track our monthly goals. We find it helps us keep getting pages done which is good for all of us.
You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done all the while enjoying sharing with Virtual Friends.
Are you UP for the CHALLENGE? Come and Play in the 2017 Scrapbook Challenge! Here's to Meeting our Scrapping Goals & Meeting New Friends!
We'd love to "oohh" and "aahh" over your pages so please post with key word "sbc17feb"

In December, we had a "trial" for a new 2017 VSBN Format. The plan is to have 5 challenges posted the first Monday of Every month. You'll have the entire month to finish the challenge. These challenges will also align with our new Challenge Boards so you can see them posted in both.
(we will be updating the titles, just need some time to get this done)
We're hoping this plan provides consistency and gives us that "first of the month" fun to look forward to each month. If you'd like to be a VSBN Hostess for one of the month's, let me know and we'll get the schedule put together.
February VSBN --- Love Is In the Air
February will be posted on Monday, Feb 6, 2017

My goal for January was to begin again and I managed that in a whopping great way by doing an album for my Dad. I am going to see him today to give it to him! Excited about that! So my YTD is 37. Thanks to having a 6 day stretch cleared on my calendar. I don't anticipate keeping this pace but I want to keep pushing myself so my goal for Feb will be 20 and my yearly goal 150. Shoot for the moon, even if you miss you will land among the stars!
Amy, I am so glad you joined us! Pleas let us know how your Dad liked his album!
Thanks for asking! It was a great day! He absolutely loved it! Got to hear some stories that I never remember hearing before. He was just all smiles and I know the next time anyone comes over it will be the highlight for him to share it with them whether they want to see it or not! Ha! It's funny how we as scrapbook keepers can get caught up in the layout, color, embellishment, journaling, finding right title or look but when you see the book through someone else's eyes all you see are the memories flooding through them. It really is very special what we do and I'm glad to be reminded of it and renewed in my love for this hobby...because it's so much more than that!
Is anyone else having trouble uploading to the gallery? Some days it does through with no problem and other days I get nothing but error messages. Just wondering if I'm the only one!
I didn't have any problems when I loaded my layout a couple of hours before you but I have in the past. I just leave and come back later or the next day... gets frustrating though!!
My first layout for February, and my upload went through easy as pie! Not sure why I sometimes have problems and sometimes none. Thanks for posting the VSBN challenges, Sharon. Going to try to play along this week.
Sharon, BTW, I know you were super busy getting the VSBN challenges organized, but I was wondering if you were going to do a scraplift challenge this month? If not, no pressure, but I wanted to check back for it if you were!

I will get it up this week-end.
Just finished your sketch and am uploading!
Then I will start on the Scraplift!
Just realized I never set a goal for this month, so I'm going to go for 11. Strange number, I know, but I thought I'd shake things up a little! I finished my second layout for the month and managed to get it uploaded. Played along with VSBN for this one. You gals gotta check out Sharon's VSBN challenges because they are super fun!
Hey scrappin' ladies! I haven't been checking in too often but I have been scrapping...I'm currently at 32 pages for the year (and either 4 or 6 of those were done in February). Need to take pictures and upload them.
My official due date was Saturday, February 4...so baby is now officially late. Don't know how much longer this will continue ;) but I'll try to squeeze in a few more pages before he arrives anyway.

This is ADORABLE! You may not be feeling adorable, but you are!!! Agree...Great photo to scrap!
Christy, what a great shot! I'm excited for you and Hubs! I know you are anxious to get this over with so you can hold your precious in your arms. Those due dates are only estimates, and sometimes rough ones at that. Baby will arrive when ready. I just recently went through the 7 extra day wait with my granddaughter in April. She delivered him all natural and both made it just fine.
Be healthy and patience!

I'm a chronological scrapper and I started on my next album where I am in my series. So welcome back to 2008...this is as current as I am or behind... however you wish to look at it. I admire all of you that are current. It makes for easier journaling since the memories are fresher to recall.
Here's the start of my memory lane...

I used to be a chronological scrapper, but I got too overwhelmed and sometimes bored which was discouraging. Right now, I scrap whatever I'm in the mood for and try to stay current with school and holidays. I'm still behind though! It's hard to stay motivated sometimes, so that's why I keep coming back here.

I'm a chronological scrapper but I alternate between doing our family albums (up to 2014 right now), our vacation albums (way behind with 2011), and the kids' school albums (so far behind I'm not sure why I'm bothering). This way I always have an alternate set of photos to go to if I am absolutely stumped and uninspired by the family album ones. Hoping our adoption of our two foster kids is complete before I get to June 2014 when they came to live with us. I hesitate to post layouts featuring them online when they are still part of the foster system! But I guess I can catch up on our vacation albums while I'm waiting . . .
LOL! Christy, what an awesome photo! I know someone has probably taken one like that before but it's the first time I've seen one like it.
Sharon...great job on the February VSBN challenges. I'm sort of in the middle of a flurry of processing new requests for quotes at work and getting bank information together and collecting year end tax stuff for the accountant. Also decided to get a "shop" software package which now will involve learning a whole new system and migrating all our work and records into it. We are also working towards becoming AS9100/ISO certified (which is a BIG deal in the aerospace business world) and requires lots of time reviewing and writing procedures so between work, home, and kid stuff, time seems to be at a premium once again. I would love being able to sit down and do nothing but try to remember how to use Photoshop Elements! I actually have an updated version #14 that I've had for over a year now and not even upgraded to yet! I still enjoy stopping in though to see what's going on here. I've got one page done so far this year....just isn't one that was too interesting to post on here though.
I've gotten 3 pages done so far this month. Hope to do more the 2nd half of next week (as my husband's birthday is Valentine's day and he took half of the week off from work).
