Happy Mix-Ability day! We're just a few weeks into the new year, and hopefully you're getting into a groove again after the holidays... or 3 weeks into some new {good} habits! In either case, we're getting back to business! It's a new month too, so I know you have some new bills to pay... have you ever noticed the patterned paper inside those security envelopes?
This week I'd like to see those patterns incorporated into your mixed media project. Use it for paper piecing, use gel medium to adhere it to a canvas, use it as a a layer on a card base, cut it in strips or tear it - whatever you create, just make sure we can see the pattern. Combine more than one pattern if you like! Remember, for your project to truly qualify as mixed media, you need to use at least 2 different types of art media. You can click HEREfor a list of supplies you could choose from.
Please remember to put in the correct keyword (MIX208) when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos. Then come back to this thread and paste a link to the card in your gallery so we can all ooh and ahhh! Go forth and create!
Eek! I'll have to see if I can find something for this, I pay practically everything, except our milkman, online. I may still have our last VISA bill envelope in the paper bin though...It's a great challenge idea.

Thanks Dina for the challenge. I don't know if I would have even looked at this envelope and it probably would have ended up in the trash, and that would have been a shame.
Not very arty, more along the CAS mixed media spectrum but I used distress inks, pencils, acrylic paint and luster rub-ons. And have a card that will be going postal next week. This was the only envelope I could find, right near the bottom of my paper bin. Kind of ironic to use a credit card bill envelope in conjunction with the stamp, LOL. But I clear the bill every month!
I was thinking about joining a Mix-ability challenge, so came over to see what you all were doing. And of course we don't have one envelope with a security print, since it's rare to get paper bills, envelopes go into the recycling bin, and that was picked up yesterday.
I love what you all have done; you're inspirations, so thank you. And MariLynn, I agree that the screen envelope design rocks! I want to get bills from the company that uses those envelopes. ; )
