I luv the handwritten quote stamps for cards. I have a good size collection of fonts on my computer. In addition to keeping a composition book of handwritten phrases that I've collected from various places and postings. Does anyone else do the same?
I want to master the skill for using my acrylic inks, brush markers and pens.
Any tips on mastering the skill?

I do like the handwritten/brush writing thing. Need to practice and see if I can get it to look good!
I note down quotes I like on a memo app on my phone so I have them when I need them
There are on-line classes and books on hand lettering. I looked at several of each and enrolled in the "Letter Lab" class a while back. The instructor was so nice and quick to answer questions I had about pens. But I never started and just yesterday had decided to actually begin this or next week.
I have been trying to learn by watching videos, following posts of people, etc. Probably the tip that has helped me the most was that this sort of writing isn't necessarily accomplished with your hand (our usual way of writing). Your pen will be more upright, as opposed to leaning on your hand, and you move your forearm to form the letters.
In the class I enrolled in, you start by using paper similar to what kids use when learning to write in elementary school - with a dashed or light line in between two bold lines. There are pdfs out there for that.
And write big. I see so many people who say they like my handwriting and I see them write so small. Wriete with a flourish. Like John Hancock. And practice a lot.

Agree. And since that's hard for some people, since it's breaking a habit of years or decades, using the "kid" paper mentioned above can force you to make your letters up to the lines. Awkward but then not.
