Default HSN 24 Hour Papercrafting & Anna Griffin

I don't want to watch alone, ladies. Tune in to HSN tonight at 11:00 central time for a 24 hour papercraft show, featuring Anna Griffin and others!

I'm just watching, of course, not ordering. Right!

I don't see anything worth buying, nothing I need. It's boring seeing all the same companies on the show and their site IMHO.

I ordered the baby dies by Sara Signature since we have a grandson coming this summer and I don't have anything baby in my stash. Also got the AG special. I love the sentiment dies and those will be so useful throughout the year.

does anyone own the anna griffin pop-up card making dies? I am trying to figure out if one of the dies will make the same pop-up look as the holiday cardmaking kit by anna griffin.

Does anyone have the WAMK Precision Press, or has anyone ordered it? The price is right!

I don't have it, but I've seen positive comments about it here on SCS recently. I think some folks liked that they could use any size of paper, and were not limited as you are with the Misti.

I've been debating about the sentiment dies. Did you realize that they are on auto-ship, with others coming throughout the year? You can easily change it before it ships in the future, but if you do not, the next shipment will be sent to you automatically.

I remember getting "burned" when they had book of the month clubs. You could cancel an upcoming selection, but if you didn't, the monthly book came in the mail and you were charged. That was in the days of snail mail, and I would often not remember to mail in the cancellation in time.

Ha! So many book-of-the-month club memberships over the years. I could just never remember why I'd canceled my previous membership so would sign up again. And again.
I did order the AG special dies, since they did look versatile. I plan on cancelling the Auto Ship sets as soon as I can.

I'd be curious about her pop-up dies, too. I hand cut one last night, and as usual one side got cut just a hair more, so the pop-up, now that it's all finished, looks a little crooked. Grrrr. I like the one she showed in that kit with two different depths.

I got a couple of the pop it up dies by Karen Burniston, but haven't used them yet. Here is a link:

do you have any of these in your gallery? ( every time I look at these dies I cannot for the life of me figure out how the heck you cut them to get that tri fold of cut outs... ) So, I have resisted all of her pop up dies.

Sigh - I have not used the dies yet. I plan to go on youtube and watch demos when I do get them out to use.

Here is one of the videos:

I did notice me he auto ship and depending on the first shipment I will decide when to cancel. You do have to watch those things though. I wish they would just give you the option of ordering.all or a bigger portion of them at a time.

Not a chance, never used any of the AG stuff I've ordered from them in the past except for some of her storage boxes.

Hi, there! I have AG's die - if it's the same one you are inquiring about -- the "pop up" portion is pretty much the same but does not fill a full 6 x 6 card for instance -- it's a little shorter on each end than her inserts

Hope that helps!

Okay, here's my personal recap from the show. After watching off and on for the whole day, in the end I was my usual frugal self.

I got the Diamond Press sentiment set, which was much cheaper than the Anna Griffin, and more useful for me, as it has many general sentiments I can use on lots of cards. Also, no autoship to worry about, lol.

https://www.hsn.com/products/diamond...g-dies/8279626

Then I also ordered the package deal with 2 sizes of Xyron adhesive runners with double refills. That will work really well with the small sentiments. I've used little dots on Tombow Mono Multi in the past to adhere small things, but it's a tedious, messy process. I'm looking forward to having the Xyron for that.

On a kind of sad note, another reason I didn't get the Anna G sentiment dies, is I realized that a lot of my family has passed away, and I would not be able to use the ones for mom, dad, sister or brother. I guess I'm lucky I'm still here. My hubby and I have a huge extended family with 5 grown kids and 20 grandchildren, so I'm not lonely!

I use dots of Ranger Multi Medium Matte since it doesn't show if on the paper, but is a bit tedious too. So sometimes I use Stick-It adhesive paper. It's extremely thin; it can run through your die cutting machine with the paper you're cutting. It can be used for some techniques too. I heart it.

I have a small Xyron but haven't tried it yet other than with a piece of scrap paper!

You know the only thing that tempted me, other than briefly, the larger Xyron? The soft blue colored Cuttlebug because of the color! Dumb, huh? My Cuttlebug sits out on my computer desk 24/7, and it would be so nice to have a spa blue one. I resisted. For now.

I wonder how much I could sell my current one for... Nah, that's being disloyal to it.

I hear you! Ever so often I get the "bug" for a new Bug. I still have the original bright green one I got at Michaels with a 50% coupon when they first came out years ago. They didn't even have all these other dies in those days, just the Cuttlebug dies. I use my Cuttlebug constantly and it's still going strong.

I can understand your reason for your choice of sentiments. Makes sense to me.

Those colors were stinkin cute! I gave my old green one away to my DIL a couple years ago. I had a Big Shot and didn't need both.

Weren't they?! Imagine all three - spa blue, green and pink - sitting on a white shelf...

There'd be no reason for them to be sitting on my shelf, but it would look pretty.

The only Version 3 color I see on the HSN website now is gold, so I'm safe.

Color can get you in trouble in more ways than one. I was figuring out which three paint colors to take to a workshop I might attend, and the handiest thing to paint was a medicine box. Now I can't read what it says because it's coral, navy and light blue with a little white. This is what happens when you're too lazy to get paper to paint on.
