MMTPT436 ~ November 29, 2016 ~ Whykickamoocow Visits Disneyland
WELCOME TO TEAPOT TUESDAY
THE SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING TEAPARTY
AND CHALLENGE #432
MMTPT436 Whykickamoocow Visits Disneyland
Note: Anyone is welcome to play! You automatically become a Teapotter the first time you play in our challenge. Also, you do not have to write a story. You just have to be inspired by the teapot or by the story about this week's location! Have fun! If this is your first Teapot Tuesday Challenge, please mention that in your commentary so we can be sure to greet you properly, in pure Teapot Tuesday fashion! Your participation in Destination Station is 100% voluntary and not at all required. Just have fun!
Susie (Susie australia) is our guest hostess for the Tickle challenge this month, so no prizes for guessing where we are headed!!
Here's her challenge:
Hello Teapotters, it's time for our monthly Tickle a Teapotter and it's also time we returned to Whykickamoocow. So much has gone on in the world this year but I am happy to report that nothing much ever changes in this lovely old outback town.
Mrs Perkins is doing well, you may remember it was she who tripped on the path in front of the new ATM and her dentures got lodged in the cash dispensing mechanism. There has been a lovely end to that story. The entire town came to her aid and raised enough money to buy her some new second-hand choppers. There was even enough money left over to get her a new glass eye - it is gorgeous and almost the same colour as her good eye.
You may also remember Merv from the corner garage, top bloke but a very dodgy motor mechanic. Well I am pleased to tell you that Merv has retired and handed his business over to his nephew, Jacko. Jacko is one of Whykickamoocow's most educated citizens, he is the only person in the town who spent 5 years in Grade 6 - that is one year longer that his teacher!!!
Jacko and his fianc, IndigoBlu-Magenta (you can tell she is from out of town hey, no one born in Whykickamoocow has a hyphenated name) are planning their wedding. IndigoBlu-Magenta has her heart set on a themed wedding, she loves the idea of something whimsical or mythical. Jacko is more your rough, tough cowboy or astronaut type of guy. Having no clue what to do, they snuggled together on the couch to watch TV.
It is 6.30 Sunday evening.......the music starts.....When you wish upon a star, makes no difference who you are..........
I hope I haven't confused you, this is not about weddings or brides, it's about the Disneys Wonderlands. No prizes for guessing I have made a Fantasyland card. Hope to see you at out Teaparty in Whykickamoocow.
CHALLENGE TRANSLATION: Help Jacko and IndigoBlu-Magenta choose a theme - make your card based on one of Walt Disneys Wonderlands - Frontierland, Adventureland, Fantasyland or Tomorrowland.
EPEC: Extra cookies if you include a moon.
DESTINATION STATION: This week our destination is each other! Once a month, we send our cards to each other! A little payback and reward to the teapotters for always sending their cards to the recipient of the Destination Station.
I have started this new thread in the Teapot Tuesday Extras Forum. If you are participating in the card exchange please go to this thread and follow the instructions.
Be sure to you use KEYWORD MMTPT436 in your upload and post a comment here so we can all see your card!
If you are confused about these challenges, see the first sticky post of this thread for more information. There is also a directory of individual challenges.
As we are coming to the end of another year of teaparties and tickles, it's time to work on the rota for next year's Tickle a Teapotter guest hostesses. All teapotters are welcome to host a challenge. You just have to find a teapot (or two), and write a story, long or short, to frame the challenge. Whilst we have some gifted storytellers in our midst, you all know that my write-ups are pretty basic, so anybody who likes to should feel free to volunteer. You'll email me the story and photo of the teapot, and I'll do all the admin.
There is a sign-up thread in the Teapot Extras forum HERE.
And I'm going for a full house! My WT card for Thursday covers Fantasyland, and hopefully with a day off today I'll get one made for Tomorrowland, I think I have some stamps which will do!
Thanks a mill for the challenge, Susie, I loved making these.
Sabrina, thanks so much for all you do to make Tickle a Teapotter happen. I can't wait to see the rest of your cards, the two you uploaded so far blew me away (and made my heart smile).

Please don't take your organs to heaven - heaven knows we need them here.
When I was looking at images of Tomorrowland (my knowledge of Disneyland and Disneyworld is practically zero, I find far better things to do when we are in Paris than to waste a day visiting EuroDisney) the astro-orbiter reminded me of the space domes in the stamp set I used for this card - and I saw a few astronauts too...
Susie I haven't seen a Disneyland since I was a teenager -- I have no idea what all the 'lands' they have now days - but I leaned back on a favorite and used Bambi. This was a great story line and challenge!!

Thanks for the magical challenge, Susie! It's Fantasyland and fairies for me. Here's my card, More Fairy Tales Please! It's also for this weeks Ways to Use It challenge.
I am finally uploading my card. Thanks for the fun challenge Susie. I had a Frontierland card in mind until I decided to try Sabrina's technique challenge. That required stamps for the interior, and I have way more fairy stamps.
OH Made it finally so sorry "SIS' but had to make it. Great story , so good to come back and visit Whykickamoocow"...Here is my " Fairy T-Garden "
