Hello Ladies!!!! You all have me chuckling over here! I had to run out this morning to help hubby with our self employed business! You are right...I love snowmen, and fresh crisp sparkling snow...I appreciate them more from my window though because I am not a fan of the cold weather or winter really for that matter! We normally have snow by this time...but we are experiencing super nice weather as of late...we're talking like flip flop and capri weather...which will end shortly as the minus temps are showing up as possibilities for later in the week! And....here's a little tidbit for you about me...you're all talking about chickens...I am petrified of chickens! LOL When we were first married we had chickens and I hated going into the coop to feed them...they would come running ready to peck my feet right off...so there's me with big rubber boots on, gloves, etc. getting them fed as fast as possible so I could get outta there!

Same thing I said. Jeanne answered me somewhere about that earlier.

my chickens are a bit little free ranging ones, so they can get out of their coop and run the fence line that divides the yard from the pasture behind the barn. so, when we take out old bread or going limp veggies they all hop up and down like muppets and its very comical.
Thing 2--me, too. I had a very bad incident in my early years at my aunt's farm. No chickens.
LOL...we won't even talk about the end result of those chickens...let's just say you can envision me in our pasture...hubby holding the chicken...me petrified because the cows were coming closer to see what was going on (I can't handle cows either! LOL), and me crying...not because of the fate of the chicken but because I was sure I was gonna get trampled by a cow! Needless to say we never had chickens again!
Yay! Thank you everyone for the congrats! I'm looking forward to working with you all over the next six months! Congrats Nancy, we get to be the newbies together!

Too many neighbor dogs and hawks to free range here. Mine are all in fenced runs.

I hate I had to work today and couldn't play the guessing game today. In reading all this I was laughing a bunch! I have had chickens several times but we have never had good luck with them. Our first group were all bullies and some killed others. The rooster attacked me one day and I had to beat it off with my purse. After hubby got back up (he was on the ground laughing), he shot him. Then he shot him again. Then again. The chicken kept running down the street and we never saw him again. The next group were too nice. They decided to make friends with our neighbors' dogs who then promptly ate them. So now the only chickens we have are painted or sewn and are for sale in our Junque booth.
So glad to be a Dirty Girl - thanks again for the laughs and the guessing and the congrats!!! Hugz

It is hard to laugh and type at the same time. Huge congratulation Nancy. It is so wonderful to see you in the dirt pile my friend.
