WELCOME TO THE 2017 CHRISTMAS CARD CHALLENGES!


WE ARE HERE TO HELP INSPIRE YOU TO HAVE NO STRESS IN THE MONTH OF DECEMBER!

Please post your SCS name, your first name, and your monthly goal, to this thread, and post your monthly cards on each appropriate thread.
The links will be in the next post when we get all of your challenge ideas!


Now, I am looking for challenge ideas for January through November of 2017, so send me a pm or list your idea in this thread!! Reminder, no specific challenge in the month of December. That is your catch up month if you have fallen behind!!


Looking forward to another fantastic year of beautiful creations and inspiration from all of you!

Note: Your monthly goals are the amount of cards you need to make each month to stay ahead and avoid the rush at the end of the year!!

Information to help you through the coming year:
1. Who can join? Anyone that needs holiday cards may join the group! Join in January or any other month of the year!
2. Complete as many cards or tags as you would like each month. Set your own goals!
3. The challenges run January through November!
4. We are here to help you have a stress free holiday, so no challenges in December!
5. First thing to do is upload to your own gallery! Use CCC17 in the title and Keyword so that your cards will show up in the right gallery and that others may view them.
6. There is no deadline, work on your cards anytime during the month, we are here to motivate you!
7. Please post a reply to this thread letting me know that you want to join and list the amount of cards you wish to do during the month.
8. Remember that the monthly challenge is just for motivation, every card you do is wonderful and right for the challenge! There are no challenge police!!
9. Please use only the thread that I have started for each month or you might be missed by others trying to leave you some lovin� comments!
10. If you are new to SCS start here for everything you could possibly want to know! Or just post your question and I would be happy to help!

wonderful idea to set monthly goals for cards - need goal for valentine's cards too they are the second largest group of cards I send out all at once. everyone is cheered by a "be my valentine" card - don't you agree? nanette

If I use mine all up this year, I may have to make more a month for next year! I had some leftovers from last year that helped this year. I probably have over 100 at this point but will have to go count.

in the past I used to do 6 cards a month and then I dropped it to 4 the last few years because, I always had a cushion. that cushion seems to have dwindled this year. ( so, I will be making my personal cards after the booth in two weeks) :mrgreen:

so, now I am thinking maybe going up to 5 or 6 a month again...

I need to get back in the swing of cards for Christmas, I am way behind this year with the move, new job(s), Fallidays and life in general getting in the way. I need to do about 6 a month to stay ahead and have what I need.

Oh I remembered that I forgot to talk about what I remember of the reindeer club.... So I am going to pull out my calendar for 2017 .. on the 25 of the month I put a Santa... This reminds me to get Christmas cards done each month... I have no idea if this makes sense?

I'd like to be part of your year long Christmas party! This past year was the first time I tried to make everyone's card and sent them out at the end of JANUARY and made them a combo with the inside greeting that read..."Happy Merry Valentine"... just to cover my bases! Ha!

This year I discovered this group in August and think I am on track to actually send them out BEFORE CHRISTMAS this year! So I obviously this goal tracking schedule is needed in my life!

I will make my goal be 4 a month.

well, I dunno about you guys... but, I am in charge of stocking stuffers in my world... ( so, mine tend to be stamps) so, usually what ever I make in Jan/Feb involves new stuff... so maybe one of the challenges could be to actually INK new stuff or cut new dies... ???

How about a Christmas travel theme? I know some folks have to travel to see family or friends...planes, trains, automobiles, sleighs, horseback?? :-) However you get there to see your loved ones?! :-)

What a great idea to start early with Christmas Cards. I've been making Christmas cards all year round, but the first half of the year almost never. In January / February, I am often happy that Christmas is over and I can not see any more Christmas Images **lol**

I think I'm going to go with it. How much per month ? I'm not sure yet......

I'm in for 2017. I fell off the wagon in 2016 and have been playing catch up the last couple of weekends. I've managed to do 90 cards the last two weekends of crafting but I haven't yet edited all my photos for posting!

So I'm in for 10 cards per month.

Ann, I like the idea of different keywords for each month. Just throwin' my two cents worth in

Lovin' the theme ideas! I thought about critters, but looks like Amy (Shirleysgirl) beat me to it! You know what they say about those of us that think alike? (GREAT minds!) Since I'm a newbie to the group, is there a place where all these fabulous ideas are compiled and posted in one place for each month, or do you just kind of wing it and post one of the suggestions when that month comes up? I am so looking forward to this year long Christmas party!

I love Wreath for Christmas - so maybe this can be a theme ? Just a thought....

Just throw your ideas out there...when Ann is finished with fun family time...the mist important time in my mind.. she will come back and look at all the thoughts we have had...then she will create a thread for each month and list the theme. Now the theme is a helpful hint..you do not have to feel bound by the theme.. let your creativity go wild.also make this your own..I tend not to make card in the heat of summer.. so I make more the other months...am I making any sense??
