If you're wondering about what kind of forms you can use for your cake layers, here is a peek at what I used... the top layer is cut from a TP roll, and the bottom 2 layers are from a cylindrical salt box - the center one was cut and stapled to be an in-between size.
Drat!! I don't have enough Hershey's Nuggets left in the bag to make one of these!! :o (Hmmm, must be someone sneaking into my craft room when I'm not looking, and eating them...can't be ME!! ) ...another trip to Walmart is needed!!

You could cut the cardboard about an inch tall and glue the ends together. I needed about 3" across to make it work so I just used an empty roll of masking tape.
Here are my rings made out of the back sheet from some SU cardstock pack. I may have them cut too wide for the nuggets (have to run to the store for those) but they should otherwise work. I should be able to use my creative memories cutting system circles to make the circles the rings sit on.....
This was definitly a challenge for me...I guess I'm not a fan of all the assembly of this type of project...in any event ...I came out with some treats for my nephews..and I know they like chocolate :p
Polly, I'm with you, this was a challenge for me, too. I'm not a 3 D crafter by any means. But the extra chocolate nuggets helped me power through, and my grandson will be thrilled to get this Halloween treat!
Dina, I hope you can clarify something for me. In the instructions in the first post of this thread (and also in the instructions for the Nugget Cake), it says to upload to Technique Spotlight/Holiday Blitz. If we upload there, will our projects be part of the Falliday Fest? Or will the proper keyword, with the upload to Technique Spotlight still help you all find our uploads when we complete ALL the challenges and post to the Yeti thread??
I uploaded to Falliday Fest with the keyword, not to Technique Spotlight....Help me do the right thing?
I used the bottom of a salt container carton, a sour cream container cut down to size and then I shrunk it in to the right smaller middle size but cutting and taping it, and then a sprinkle container cap for the top!

Yes, the instructions for uploading tutorial projects are different from the challenge posts. We want to fill up the special tutorial galleries, so your project should be uploaded directly there like it says above instead of to the Falliday Fest gallery. The FF16 prefix on the keyword will include them in the final count and drawings for prizes.
I am stunned by all the terrific submissions (and funny comments) on my nugget cake! I am so glad to see the directions worked out well! Thanks to all who are creating the project. Now, I need to get busy on the others projects!
This was new to me, did a bit of chocolate bar wrapping, and combined some tp rolls and a plastic dessert cup from olive garden for my structure. Added a dc oval for my tree image and a hand written sentiment. Here's FF16nuggetcake 3 tier Happy Holidays

I can't find rings in the sizes I need, so I've looked at an SVG file I have and I'm modifying it to cut the rings and circles. Is that okay? Also, I'm going to make mine so the nuggets can be taken out and the cake can be "refilled", so I'm not going to glue the layers to each other, but instead stack them (with rings on the bottom to keep them from just falling off).
Is that all okay for this challenge?? (please say yes, please say yes...)

When I saw this Nugget Cake, I was totally delighted ! I had to try that.
There are no "Hersheys" in Germany so I took "Ferrero Ksschen". I think that makes no difference.
Decorating the chocolate was very easy, but then the cake had to be built. Oh boy, I needed 2.5 hours - it just would not stick, so I attached for safety some ribbon. At the end everything worked out.
I like the Nugget Cake very much because it is such a nice idea and I really wanted to make 3 of them because i have 3 birthdays in the next time - but that would drive me crazy **lol**
FF16nuggetcake Goblin Feast by c-mouse at Splitcoaststampers here is mine.....it will be given to our 11 year old grandson tomorrow as his Halloween treat because his teacher parent has decided no trick or treating due to the Monday fall of the holiday. His 2 year old brother is receiving sippy cups with the Paw Patrol characters on them as they are his latest love. ( and he doesn't eat solid food of any kind)

here is my evil and dangerous nugget cake, (my kids bought candy i liked for it, >.< )
I gave it to my neighbors after i photographed it and the husband tore into it immediately! I was relieved to have it out of my hands! LOL!
P.S. I used large and medium peanut butter jar lids and the bottom quarter of a water bottle for my tiers. The water bottle made a great bowl for the candy balls on top. FF16nuggetcake | Toffee Nuggets are Dangerous! by scrapaholic007 at Splitcoaststampers
