SPECIAL RESTRICTIONS: NONE GUIDELINES: Please keep in mind, we are representing SCS by sending our cards each month. Recycling is always good, but only use products on your cards that you would like to receive on cards. Also, our card donations are not tax deductible and it is not required. Please do not ask for a receipt. There have been groups that will send thank you's but the "referred by" person keeps us informed and passes on the thank you's. Most of these organizations are volunteers and spend countless hours helping others, lets help make their jobs easier and bless them in helping others.

For a little added inspiration you can join us in playing along with the OPTIONAL challenge each month. This is only optional and you do not have to play along to send your cards to the featured cause for the month. We always take cards no matter if you play along in the challenge or not. This months optional challenge is to black and white with one other color. Be sure to use the keyword C4AC44 so that we can check out your card and comment! Similar question. I checked out the site but wasn't able to determine exactly what the need was for the cards...
Are we making "Thank you for your service" cards for the vets from us?
Inspirational cards for the vets "you can do it", "great job" from the staff/volunteer corps?

yes, they are for the men and woman of service...here is a bit about what they shared on FB, I am not on FB and did not even think to let you all know they are...sorry.
I didn't share this because I found it a bit confusing, perhaps you all will not.

once we receive the cards they will be displayed in front of national news media and preserved for sending these to soldiers and Families. That way they are not just a card we bought but a card that was passed through us to the families and veterans and has special meaning. That meaning being the connection and the bond that we have with our veterans and Families They can put a message in it. We support our veterans. We support our soldiers. We love our veterans etc.

these challenges do not start until October 9, I will give a link here each day there is an organization being featured. Unless something changes it will be October 11, 14, 17, and 20. thank you for wanting to play along and help!

Hello! Great cause...unfortunately all my stamping stuff is still boxed. Looks like we are closing on our house Oct 27th and will move that weekend. So I won't see my crafting stuff again until Nov. But I'll be lurking.

Same here!! My crafting supplies are in IL and I am still here in CA and I am hoping to unpack soon and hop on this for OCT, if not, I will be back in NOV.
We moved in June, but the majority of my crafting stuff is still in boxes in the garage, too. I did dig out some of my military stamp sets though, and sent them to Mom so she can make some for this month.
Can someone verify the zip code please. I was checking the post office web site and according to them the correct zip code is 30703 I have a box ready to go and would like to put the right zip code thank you

I am sorry I did not reply sooner, I am just seeing this. according to my records that is the zip code I was given and I googled it and it is correct.

hi everyone, I cannot believe we are nearing then end of the year. we are two month and 2 days from christmas ;) yea, I know hard to believe!
I am always on the hunt for organizations to spotlight, we luv spotlighting new organizations so if you know of any please pm me and let me know. Hello everyone! I'm still alive and lurking....but I have news! We signed our lives away last night and got keys today! Movers are coming on Saturday....so I will be able to start unpacking next week...hopefully I can get a lot done and be able to start setting up my craft room again. Oh how I miss stamping!!!!!! So not too much longer and I'll be in the swing of things again.

you are not alone, me too! I am trying to send a couple cards to each one of our falliday fest organizations. please do not feel obligated to do this, I shared to keep everyone in the loop....thank you all for your support!

Kandie- welcome! Each month Teresa posts an organization in need of cards with a bit of information re: what type of cards, what not to use, etx. (for ex. see post #1 in this thread) and if you are able to do so, you just create as many cards as you like and mail them to the organization.
Usually we comment if we are able to participate and how many cards were mailed. It is that easy!!
I was hoping to be able to participate this month but not sure if I will be able to mail until mid November.
There is also a thread under the main Cards for a Cause forum that has a list of organizations that accept cards all year round :-)
