Challenge Title: For the Love of Pets Hostess: CAKath (Kathy) Keyword: FF16CAKath Date: Sunday, October 16th
WELCOME to our first Falliday Fest 2016. Today's challenge is pretty special because we offer the option of supporting the Tri-County Humane Society by mailing them your card. Today is about our pets! We will be sending blank Thank You cards to the Tri-County Humane Society in Minnesota!
"The Tri-County Humane Society (TCHS) operates an independent non-profit animal shelter in St. Cloud, MN. The TCHS has been providing quality services to the people and animals of Central Minnesota since 1974.
Some of their services include care for homeless animals, pet adoption, pet lost and found, and humane education. They also provide knowledgeable answers to questions regarding pet care, behavior and many other animal related issues." This destination is approved for receiving thank you cards throughout the year, so you will find this destination in the Cards for a Cause forum at the conclusion of Falliday Fest.
Send blank Thank You cards with envelopes to:
Karen Howard 9088 Country Avenue Monticello, MN 55362
Many of us have some pretty special pets at home that are a part of our family. Whether it's a fluffy cat or a scaly reptile, our pets bring joy to our every day. For that reason, we want to support a group who provides support and care to animals.
The challenge is to create a thank you card with your pet or favorite animal on it. Since this is a holiday challenge thread, extra hugs for making this a holiday card with a pet on it. And, let's fill the gallery with a photo of your pet along with a photo of your challenge card. I'd love to meet those creatures that give you that unconditional love!

Thank you for participating in these card drives, and thanks to my amazing sample makers for their inspiration!
Good morning to all! It's a little early for this West Coast girl, but hopping on to welcome everyone to my challenge. I hope we see some adorable cards and get to know your pets as well.
This guy is gorgeous and looking so comfy on the couch! It's a great photo of him. I had a couple of Shelties which were mostly black and had such a hard time getting a good picture. So happy you sent his photo along to us.
I decided to do a fussy cut/aqua painted scene for my pet themed thank you card- using a great set from Lawn Fawn- and including a tree and tire swing like my family had when I was growing up. As we had dogs and cats, I included both! Finished with a striped washi tape border and a distressed sentiment. Here's FF16CAKath Critters Thank You

Oh, Kathy, your challenge idea is one close to my heart. So, I've made two Christmas thank yous to donate, and have two more (non-Christmas) thank yous to finish, also to be sent along to the TriCounty Humane Society. I'll post the other two once completed.
Though we no longer have a canine companion in our home (our Siberian Husky, Cody, passed away a few years back), we do have two wonderful kitties, who are my avatar. Peeka is our sweet natured, very loving, "Dog in a cat suit" calico. Mickelson, our black cat, is "all boy", rambunctious, lively, and always hungry (he weighs 16 lbs!! We don't starve him!) He can be a real lovey, but only on his terms (a true feline!)
I had great fun with this challenge; thank you, Kathy!
Here's my dog card...I'm happy to send it to the Tri County Humane Society in St. Cloud. Now I'm off to buy a new toaster...mine died this morning...didn't work at all. I can't get by without my toast....I did happen to have a donut in my freezer so I defrosted that in the micro  but I can't keep doing that..
I'm starting to see some great cards being posted. Keep them coming. It seems like cats are winning over dogs thus far. Dog lovers- are you out there somewhere?
This is my Italian Greyhound, GG, at a local park. She only weighs around 14 pounds and is full size. You didn't see many until a Kardashian made them a bit more famous.
This was Terry. He'd been featured in other of my scs posts and uploads over the years... He crossed the rainbow bridge nearly a year ago. (sad, even now.) I've been reluctant to adopt again, until my shoulder heals and I can lift litter boxes. So, I've been adopted by a neighborhood cat, who visits my front porch regularly for petting and a few treats. I call her the Mooch. I don't have a picture of her. Too shy, I think.

Thanks for this Challenge and great Card Drive, Kathy ! The funny thing is that I've been with Karen Howard once in the same Designteam at {From the Heart Stamps}. And that is why I chose an image of it.
