It started at 12:00 eastern time last night, and goes all day today until midnight tonight!

I love watching, even if I don't buy anything.

I'm so excited to get home and watch. I'm like you even though I might be tempted. I mainly just enjoy watching the show. All the beautiful cards and new crafting items. I also love Anna Griffin embossing folders (a bit pricey but still beautiful).

Gee, thanks bugga! You just had to post this. lol It's actually kind of funny. I never watch HSN or QVC. As soon as I saw your thread, I went and put it on. They were showing that laser square. It's so cool! I told DH to come look, HE needs this and I'm going to be nice and buy it for him. Because, after all, they said it could be used for hanging pictures and things, right? ;) He looked at me, and asked "how did you even know this was on?" (It's the middle of the day here, and the TV is never on. normally.) I told him "the ladies on Splitcoast". He just shook his head and rolled his eyes. The "ladies on Splitcoast" are responsible for A LOT of my spending. lmbo

Did you see that Precision Press? AKA MISTI. They mentioned "there's a competitor's on the market, and it's much more expensive". Ummm, yeah. Pretty sure Ilianna could sell hers for a lot cheaper if she had it on HSN and knew she'd be selling tens of thousands of them. What I don't get is what good a patent is if everyone can copy it. Okay, it had a couple more hinges, but does that invalidate the patent?

I saw the scanner for $100 and was very tempted to buy it. Luckily, it sold out. I finally just set HSN to record so I could watch it tonight, and fast forward when I was tired of them talking about the item. I wonder if I'm going to see anything I can't live without?

Laser Square! {fanning self}

Michaels sells WRMK. I wonder if they'll get it in and if you can use a 40% or 50% coupon on it.

I don't scrapbook, and I have a MISTI to stamp straight, but I sure do want it anyway. LOL Now if they made something like that and it cut, I'd pay hundreds for it!

I've bought lots of things through the years from HSN, including cell phones, jewelry, a printer (and lots of crafting stuff.)

They sometimes have really good prices, especially on their Today's Specials. Also you can use their Flex Pay option, and they only put a partial payment on your credit card every month, and you get the item right away. If you pay your card off every month, as I do, you don't have interest on your payments.

Since I am obviously a valued customer, ha! they send me emails about their specials, so I know when papercrafting will be on.

I didn't buy anything this go-round, but enjoyed watching anyway.

That Laser gadget really looked great for those who have trouble lining things up. I've sewed straight seams for lots of years, and seem to have a pretty good eye for getting my layers straight as well.

I'm jealous, bugga. I am terrible at getting things straight. I will mat something, it'll be a little off on one side, so I trim it. Then the other side is off. Before you know it, I've got a bitty scrap and have to start over. Those A2 Spellbinders dies are a life saver for me. It seems silly to have to use a die to cut a square or rectangle, but...

I don't scrapbook either, and lining stamps up isn't a problem, but with this you could create movable, aligned columns for writing (especially), drawing, applying bits, etc., for cards, in a journal (if it was flat), designing paper for boxes or anything. I can do that with tools I have, but this would be easier and faster. And funner. ; )

Thank you. It seems to be a "brain thing", not vision. Just some people's brains are wired to be able to do it.

I was at Hobby Lobby one time, getting a print matted and framed. We had it laid out on their big table, and I put the print on top of a piece of mat board, so it looked equal all around. The gal said, we'd better measure it. She was amazed that I had it perfectly aligned by sight!

PS I'm also a whiz at jig saw puzzles. But don't ask me about my housekeeping skills!

If it makes you feel better, I just realized you could make one column starting at the left edge of the paper. But you couldn't make a column somewhere toward the middle. Two vertical lasers would be needed.

Two vertical and two horizontal lasers would be close to perfect.

I saw the last 90 mins of this! Dh told me. He looks at those channels sometimes. I have no idea why. lol. I stopped years ago when I reined in spending in general before I was carding.

I missed the laser tool. That sounds interesting. I am also curious about the "craft clearance"-what's that? Can we access that online or we have to have an HSN account?

I saw a tag kit and a Christmas bundle and a) realized I already have dies that size in my nestabilities and b) I am not wild about a lot of her Christmas paper this year. I LOVE foil and bling, but it can look garish to me too.

Was it just me or do they push the idea of making stuff that looks commercially made (aka "professional")?

So I was just watching for ideas.

wavejumper, you noticed that too?. I usually like her stuff. But I thought it was a bit garish, even the Cricut cart.

bjeans, unless I just can't do without it I wait and use a coupon too.

I watched off and on all day. I didn't buy a thing. I was good, this time.

Wavejumper, to see the laser tool just go to hsn.com and type the item number in the search box . It's 474-194 No, I didn't buy it. I managed to resist. For now at least.

Gee whiz! That laser is very cool! Might be good to help people who have trouble keeping layers straight. Now that link has a demo and she is popping down sticker letters-I would need top and bottom to be straight-she was just working off the bottom line. (of course upside down and backwards cuz that's how talented crafters roll lol)

I think we had a chat here awhile back about single lasers people like and use that they got at the hardware store.

What I liked about that laser was that it had both vertical and horizontal lines. (I wasn't kidding about wanting two vertical and two horizontal - you could make perfect columns, rectangles, etc!)

I don't have problems lining things up, and can always take two seconds with a t-ruler for vertical positioning. A Misti or similar works for complex positioning. We have a single laser used for other things, but it doesn't ring my chimes for card making.

Oops - you snooze, you lose. Looks like it's sold out now. They had a really good price on it, $49.95. It's selling on Scrapbook.com for $67, and A Cherry on Top has it at $71.99.

When HSN sells new to the market items, they sometimes have really good prices, and the stuff goes quickly.

I've learned from shopping there if I think I want something to order it quickly before sellout. They have a great easy return policy if you change your mind after you get it.

Since it's new, there will be reviews on it soon, pros and cons. You may be happy you missed it.
