Can you believe this is our 8th year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 through 2015 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2016! Let's keep scrappin'.
It was SO fun to chat about and see everyone's pages, goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2016! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!
Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person can share their page goals, pages and ideas. for those of use who like Annual Goals, we will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month.
*In this thread, we track our monthly goals. We find it helps us keep getting pages done which is good for all of us.
You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done all the while enjoying sharing with Virtual Friends.
Are you UP for the CHALLENGE? Come and Play in the 2016 Scrapbook Challenge! Here's to Meeting our Scrapping Goals & Meeting New Friends!
We'd love to "oohh" and "aahh" over your pages so please post with key word "sbc16oct"

Thanks Sharon! It was a long trip but very productive and I had a great time in Arizona even though we were working. How can you not like all that sunshine

Hi...I was going through pictures to find the ones for the business scrapbook I want to do and found this picture of DGS with DH at his last ball game and then I went looking for the picture we took at the beach the very first time we took him on vacation there. Boy, what a difference. On the scrapbook page, he only comes up to DH's waist!
Hello everyone!
It's been tooo long! I miss scrap booking terribly and have been trying to work it in to my schedule, but between being on the road and coming home to catch up on everything, it just hasn't been in the cards! I've had the chance to make a few cards, but not as many as I would like and I haven't been able to sit long enough to scrapbook at all! :(
A BIG thank you to Cheryl for filling in for me! I can't thank you enough!
So...since May, I've been certified in Scuba Diving for my Open Water Certification and I just did my Advanced Open Water last weekend! Now my DH & I are planning a Caribbean vacation for next spring! Both my girls are back at college and I'm going full time at work on Monday! Needless to say, it's been a busy summer!
I'm actually hoping to work some scrap booking back into my evenings and weekends,(I think I'm actually having withdrawal symptoms;))! This month, I'll be working some weekends and evenings. So another transitional period and with any luck, I can get some crafting done!!
I don't know how you working ladies do it!!!
Any way, I just wanted to pop in and say hi! Hope all is well with everyone!!

I only completed 7 layouts last month, so I fell a little shy of my goal of 10, but I think I can accomplish 10 this month if I can just get the last few pages of my ABC album scrapped. For some reason, I have no inspiration to get the V-X pages done. I'm pulling them out this morning and going to try to plow through them before leaving for church. Wish me luck!
Cheryl, I did X as xpression and had photos of my grandkids with funny expressions on their faces for my Grandkids ABC book for VSBN a couple of years ago.
I had a fun weekend scrapping and stamping. I cleaned out a couple stash bins so most of the cards and pages I did this weekend is all with really old stash (most of it I got at Archivers if that tells you anything) I did get 12 Christmas cards and 8 pages done ...
I even finished my Oct Scraplift Challenge Already! I was inspired, great idea Sharon
Tomorrow is going to be super busy for me, so I actually got the sketch challenge posted tonight. Woohoo! Hopefully some of you ladies will be able to use it this weekend. Enjoy.
Hey everybody! I got my very first ever digi pages done Saturday (yes I'm behind the times). I got the PL app and started playing. Ummmm, that is life changing! Although I won't keep doing that I don't have the money and I have way too many physical products that need to be used and played with for me to ever go all digital. LOL
I also got 3 "real" pages finished. Here's one:
The weekend is coming up so it's time to get this party started! Here's the latest Stash Busters challenge for you all to play along with and get your scrap room cleaned out at the same time.
Annie ... so glad you "weathered" the storm. The hurricane left so much destruction behind and my thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by the storm.
Cheryl ... love the new page sketch ... have it earmarked to use. I also love the stash buster challenges--I am finding paper I bought in 2007 that I never used. My husband says he can't believe that I am so OCD, especially with the house, but when it comes to my craft room I could be on an episode of "Hoarders".
We were gone for a week but I was able to get 4 pages done before we left and 2 pages since I've been home so I am half way done with my October goal.
Two more pages done. This time I used the a sketch from the sketch challenge (Sketch16Sep3 by Motherload at Splitcoaststampers). I rotated the left side 90 degrees so that my pictures would work with this layout.
Another page done last night! It's my favorite PL page thus far. I have it on my Instagram today. (My blog is very neglected, haven't updated it in a very long time)
Just went to JoAnn's to look for a pattern and wandered over to the scrapbooking section. I use that term loosely, since they are now down to half an aisle (Cricut, embossing folder, Fiskar's punches, and albums)! Guess they either believe the scrapbooking craze is over or they decided they couldn't compete with the on-line and consultant based companies. Will have to check out Michael's sometime soon to see what they still have.

I have been very disappointed in the paper selection at the Big Box stores lately ... they seem to have the same paper for the last few years.

Well, Michaels has made it clear they are carrying fewer than ever of other lines -sticking to their own mostly (Recollections). Depending on the size of your Joanns they may be doing more of the same, except they don't have a paper line of their own that I know of. Mine is pretty large and the SB section hasn't changed much, still several isles. I visited one in another city and although it was a large format too, it had little SB supplies. Local Scrapbook stores are so few now and none are very near me, warranting quite a drive.

I have to rely on on-line ordering (internet, SU or CTMH). I live 150 miles from the nearest craft store. I usually go to the big box stores when I visit my sons (one is 10 hours from me, the other 9 hours) and the stuff has not changed in forever. If it wasn't for on-line ordering I wouldn't have a place to shop ... needless to say, "Brownie" aka the UPS Driver and I see each other quite often!

I have such a huge stash of paper and embellishments that I don't need to buy much nowadays, although sometimes I just can't help myself when something is super cute! I confess, I bought the whole collection of the Halloween themed Jeepers Creepers line from CTMH, and I'm loving using it. Here's my latest layout, and now I'll have to put the papers away until I scrap Halloween 2014 in a couple of years - LOL!
I'm right there with you Cheryl ... I keep telling myself I'm not going to buy any more paper or embellishments and then CTMH comes out with Jeepers Creepers. That is on my next month club order to buy! I have been pulling out paper pads I have had for over 10 years. I am making albums for both of my sons/DILs of my granddaughters. I have the youngest done up to September of 2014 (she was born in July 2014) and the oldest is up to April of 2014 (she was born in July 2013). As soon as I get the oldest pages done to September then I will be making pages for both identical so I can get them caught up to present date! I have been very fortunate that both my sons and DILs are always sending me pictures on the IPhone and when we visit my camera is always "clicking"!

...hello, hello ... back from 2 weeks out on the road for work although last weekend I did spend with family. I got to see my 4yr old niece do gymnastics, awww, what good memories.
I'm off to the last NE Ohio Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) "Light the Night" Event tomorrow and on to NY Mon & Tue. The best part of next week though is I leave for MI on Thursday for weekend Crop at a new Scrap Space we found! SO EXCITED! ;)
Hopefully I get a couple pages done this week before I leave but it not, maybe I'll get lucky like Melina and get 20 done next weekend?
Hope all of you are hanging out in Scrap Land ...
