I was looking at the beautiful gallery from last week! WOW! I truly missed out! (I missed you too!) This week we're going to be inspired by one of my favorite stationery styles: Letterpress! Letterpress looks similar to dry embossing, so feel free to take the bonus challenge of doing something unique with one of the many embossing folders that I know you have (smiles)! Our inspiration board is just perfect for a 'letterpress' or 'dry embossing' inspiration challenge: Its a board I've been working on just for you: For the Love of Letterpress! You'll notice that business cards and wedding invitations are prone to the use the technique, but you'll find other interesting things too, like coasters and even book covers! I'm more than confident that you'll find something extra special to inspire your next creative design, so ENJOY!
Challenge Goals: Please don't be tempted to upload a card that you have made prior to this challenge, just because an image on the board reminds you of it - this is all about creating from an inspiration. So, please take the challenge of allowing your creative juices to flow based on the images you browse this week. Remember, it can just be the color palette or style that ignites your creativity. Whatever draws you to the designs, take the challenge of doing something uniquely inspired today.
Please remember that all inspiration links should be inspired by the For the Love of Letterpress. Remember that your card might also end up on my Ongoing Inspiration Genius Board too, especially if it shows signs of extra deep inspiration! (smiles)
Use the keyword: IC562(no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many images to choose from, or just don't subscribe to Pinterest, I've uploaded 10 of my favorites. So just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. Click on the images below to see them bigger and to get their links on SCS. Don't forget to let us know which photo served as your inspiration piece please.
Had a chance to play on this rainy (here anyway!) Saturday morning. Off to visit my father and then back to comment and maybe do some more as I am now intrigued on what else I can create using Letterpress as my inspiration!

Was influenced by the bee inspiration cardand went with a pumpkin spice coffee, propped up by dimensionals, adding some bees with dry embossing and coloring. Used some light blue ribbon, and did some hand stitching. Here's Pumpkin Coffee- love it!

well, I am not so sure I like this as much as I hoped I would (because, the holes did not really want to cut clean even with a new blade on a knife) probably my cut pad, at any rate I did try this but, I probably wont be giving this card away.
Audrey - Thanks so much for the timely challenge - I just got my big shot 3 days ago and this made a GREAT learning experience. I did have to watch a half dozen utube tutorials to figure out how to build a 'sandwich' and actually USE my new machine (the few instructions that came with the machine left me baffled) And luckily the 2 dies & 1 EF I purchased to experiment with actually worked for this card - TFL
Excellent challenge Audrie. I have been creating this card all week and with all these challenges matching up to this card that I wanted to create I just had to play.
