Hello and Welcome to Round 6 of the weekly ALPHABET CHALLENGE.
If this is the first time participating in the Alphabet Challenge; THANK YOU for joining us. Once you get to know the rest of the Alpha Crew you will see that these ladies are not only full of talent they are fun, loving and caring as well. You will also find this challenge to be as easy as ABC... So jump on in and introduce yourself and let the fun begin.
How it all works: I have all 26 letters of the Alphabet in a bowl. On Wednesday of each week a letter will be drawn from the bowl and whatever letter is drawn will be that week's letter. I will then challenge you to make a card (or some other type of stamping project; the choice is yours) using at least one item that begins with the current week's letter.
For Example: Let's say the current week's letter is "B" You could make a card using "B"lue paper or you could use a "B"ow or stamp an image of a "B"utterfly, or you could make a "B"ackPack, whatever you think of it's your creation. You can use 1 item that begins with that week's letter or multiple items, the choice is yours.
Please note that I do not know the weekly letter until it is drawn on Wednesday morning.
Once you are finished making your card or project please make sure you upload it to your gallery and then post a link to it in the Alphabet Challenge thread. (If you need help please ask)
Each week there will be a "KEYWORD" please make sure to put the keyword in the space provided while uploading your card. This is how all of our cards or projects made for the Alphabet Challenge end up in the same gallery.
There you have it, by following these instructions you just finished the weekly Alphabet Challenge. It's as easy as ABC
The most important thing to remember is: HAVE FUN!!!!!!!
The first Week's letter will be posted above. We are not going in alphabetical order this round. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. And thank you for joining in the fun!!!
I may surprise you some week's with a double challenge. Just a little something to get your mojo working. ;) Participating in the double challenge is NOT mandatory.
So come on and join us. You will be welcomed with open arms.

Hello everyone and Welcome to the weekly Alphabet Challenge. If this is your first time participating in this challenge please see post #1 for instructions on how it all works.
I would also like to say WELCOME BACK to the Alpha Crew. It is because of you that the Alphabet Challenge is so fun and successful. THANK YOU!!!!!
Is everyone ready for the first letter of round 6? I bet you are. Dawn says if you want her to redraw she will. (For those of you that are new members of the Alpha Crew: Dawn is my friend that lives her with us. She is the one drawing the letter each week.)
We are on week #1 of the Alphabet Challenge. This week's letter isZ.Dawn says "I'm really sorry!"
Please remember to use the following keyword when uploading your project to your gallery. This week's keyword is: DDABC1Z
Please make sure to post a link here in the Alphabet Challenge thread. It makes it easier for all of us to see it and leave some love.
Are you hoping there will be a double challenge this week? Sorry to disappoint..there will be no double challenge this week.
The most important rule of this challenge is: HAVE FUN!!!
OK, thinking about Z....hmmmm, zebra stamp seems like a great choice except I don't have a zebra stamp....must think - and stay inside. We are looking at 110 degrees or more today...
Pretty card ms Melody. Mine is the normal zebra soon as I get it loaded to share...I still need help in getting it loaded to my gallery. This iPad won't let me and my putter is still down. So I'll be in pouting zone till then lol
Hello Zealous Alphabet Crew. I'm zestfully helping with my DD's high school marching band camp all week. It's 106 degrees today with zero cloud coverage. The band director is zipping the students through the marching in the morning, giving them a longer lunch break and doing the musical rehearsal, marching fundamentals inside in the afternoon.
I zoomed home on a lunch break and checking in to see what letter we have today. Awesome - Letter Z. We get it done at the beginning and don't have to anticipate it later. Zero card for me this week; but I will get in the card-making zone next week after camp and will make my Letter Z card then. Have fun with Letter Z!
Hello ladies, I am here for my gallery shift so I thought I would take a peek at the Z cards that are done already. Wow, some of you are right on top of things. I haven't even thought of what to do. lol...I will be back to leave love.
I am so excited to begin a new round; but I am still behind. I finished my Y but still need to upload it. Now I guess I will do two Zs, lol. Great to see new friends joining us!!!! We are on major overtime AND my blackberries are ripening like crazy, so I have been busy, busy, and tired, tired; but I will hopefully get caught up soon. Sending love to everyone...
Looking back on the last thread I see Ina asked if any of us had certain stamps.....
I do have Tea Shoppe, but dumb dumb me ordered it in French. The images are all the same, its just the words I can't read
Did you want some images stamped, or do you wish to borrow it?
I think it was hotwheels who asked about those stamps unless I missed something. I remember because I had an extra set of the lotus blossom and just sent the set to her instead is stamping.
I think you may be right ms.Kathy....I saw Vikki's post and was curious because I was like ha ! How did I miss that request post .lol had me thinking I was going lulu belle haha so I went back and still didn't see any . But that's because I only scanned yellows aka Ina's posting. And now I feel weirded out typing my name with 2 k's lol a Aloha ms. Vikki with the double k's
Wow! You guys are off to a running start! I hope I can keep up with all of you on this round. Welcome to all of the newbies, so glad you have joined us. I've got to start thinking of a Z card. Wish me luck.
Question to those of you who participate on the sketch challenge. How do you get the measurements for your layout? My computer won't print it to scale, and I am not good at guessing measurements. I followed the instructions on the master thread, but it didn't work for me. Are they printed somewhere? Suggestions? I'd like to participate, but I don't want to spend half a day trying to get it figured out.
Morning Alpha sisters!! With the ever so awesome sister Sabrina's help and rescue I now have my letter Z card for this new round added to my gallery. Sorry as much problem I'm having getting things loaded. I also have no way of putting a link out here. So you'll have to go peek lol enjoy!!

I just eyeball it and guestimate. I wouldn't say I'm very good at it but I try my best and just go with what I've got!
I'm sorry that the sketch does not print out in the A2 size for you. It is meant to be a guideline and as long as the elements of the sketch are there, you are good to go with your own interpretation of the sketch. Just as Catherine said.
If you look through the Sketch Challenge gallery, you will see some stampers use a butterfly for a circle or ribbon for a strip, neither are the right "size", but they represent that part of the sketch. Often times, I will turn the sketch sideways or even upside down and that is allowed. The sketch is a guideline and you can alter the dimensions. I hope that helps.
Lydia tell us: There's no wrong way to do a challenge.
I'm taking a break from the band camp because something at the school is causing me to have severe allergy reaction. Every day I go back, I get worse and worse. So, I had to stay home today.
I'm off to see the new Z cards and maybe that will inspire me to make mine today.
Sally,
I do the same thing as Catherine, just eyeball the panels and get close to the measurements.
The idea is to have fun and play along, they are not restricted to exact measurements.
I am going to be a guest designer for the sketch challenges for the next six months and would be more then happy to pm you measurements on layouts that you need help with after the challenge goes live.
Haha ms. Catherine , I love that word "Guestimate" I'm word lifting it!!! But it is something that comes along with being a craft junkie like the lot of us lol
Ann, that would be wonderful! I really am terrible at eyeballing measurements. I am not artistic in any way, shape, or form. My son, who is quite creative, would try to help me and would say, just draw the lines first. And my reply was, what lines? I just don't see what others see.

Glad to help. Here's her cards - she zestfully made two cards!
