I hope your week was colorful and cheerful despite all the normal challenges of life! Speaking of colorful, this week's inspiration challenge plays with color blocking. Color Blocking is an interesting design technique that we spot often in packaging, clothing, and even certain types of marketing materials. It grabs the eye and transmits energy and emotion! To help us with our color blocking challenge I've selected a delightful Color Blocking Pinterest Board by Kathryn Elaine.

Video Inspiration: Challenge Goals: Please don't be tempted to upload a card that you have made prior to this challenge, just because an image on the board reminds you of it - this is all about creating from an inspiration. So, please take the challenge of allowing your creative juices to flow based on the images you browse this week. Remember, it can just be the color palette or style that ignites your creativity. Whatever draws you to the designs, take the challenge of doing something uniquely inspired today.
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many images to choose from, or just don't subscribe to Pinterest, I've uploaded 10 of my favorites. So just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. Click on the images below to see them bigger and to get their links on SCS. Don't forget to let us know which photo served as your inspiration piece please.
Audrie - this was a totally fun pinterest board & challenge that took me back to the 60's fashion scene in my mind. The dress I chose for inspiration turned out to be a tad trickier than I'd anticipated (see description with card) but all's well in the end! I hope you'll check out my card: Ooh-la-la! by bubblestx4 - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers

WOW! The gallery is so creatively beautiful this week! Absolutely fabulous designs! They all inspire me to get crafting! (Which I plan to do more of tomorrow.)
I always get sidetracked when I get on Pinterest. First think this morning I looked at your challenge, went to Pinterest. Something pops up that someone pinned my pins, then off I go! LOL Eventually I did get back to the challenge though. Thank you!
I was inspired by the bold watermelon and peach colored wrap dress. I wanted to keep the idea, but make them less bold but still show the difference between the two colors, so I toned them way down.
I didn't get to play yesterday, had 3 grandsons here (still have 2), I got up early to create, and then they did too, lol. Here is my Color Block Pink.

Audrie, I loved this challenge! What a wonderful site to gather inspiration. I've held my card until now because I wasn't sure it totally met the challenge requirements. If it's not okay I will understand if you move it out of the gallery. Here's my Autumn Wreath card.
