Default TLC598 ~ Watercolor Lifting ~ {8/8/16}

Good morning, Technique Lovers! It's my turn to host our weekly challenge.
I love watercolor techniques, and was intrigued by this past Wednesday's SCS Tutorial by the fabulous Wendy Cranford:
watercolor lifting

I know a few of you have already created one from the tutorial, but for this challenge, please create a NEW project!

Be sure to add your card to the
TLC598 GALLERY
as well as the gallery set aside just for this technique!

My sample: I'm Here For You

Keyword: TLC598

To link to the Watercolor Lifting Gallery:
Choose Technique Spotlight
Choose Watercolor Lifting
Have fun!

Here's mine.
I'm in the camp who already tried this - a few weeks back for a MIX challenge.
I used much brighter stronger colours then and was happier with the result.

But, I thought the technique would work well for a sympathy card and that's what I needed today so this is what we get:

Like Sabrina, I also tried this technique in the mix Challenge and am excited to try a more CAS card with alot more forethought this time, instead of applying colors and then going "Now what do I do with it" . . .The hardest part of this challenge for me is getting enough tape to stick to the wet paper aftre the lifting process so that it dries(almost) flat.

Here's my card for this fun challenge:

I did this last week, but it doesn't hurt to practice. I have my watercolor piece done but haven't made a card with it yet. Soon....

This took a while till I could get the background done. Had the idea right away, just not the time to execute.

This technique was new to me. Thanks Judy for the "push" to try it out. :-) I'm glad I did.
