This week we're gonna shake it up a bit! You may remember that back in the beginning of the inspiration challenge our hostesses would often only use 1 image, or 1 pattern, to inspire us all for the challenge. This made it a bit more challenging, but it was truly amazing to see the diversity of projects that were wonderfully beautiful spin-offs from that single inspiration piece! Well I'm not going to do that exactly, but we are going to do something a bit different this week to further challenge your creative energies - LOL. Instead of a site full of hundreds of photos, I have selected only 3 different inspiring videos on how to make "Shaker Cards".
The challenge:
You can choose to be inspired by any one of the 3 videos below, and in any way you like (color, texture, style, dies, stamps, etc.)! Or, you can take the bonus challenge of designing your own version of a unique shaker card using a stamp set that you have not seen used as a shaker card before! Or, you might choose to case one of the cards in the videos below! It's totally up to you, just have fun with it - I definitely did!
Please remember that all inspiration links should be inspired by one of the 3 inspirational videos above. Please share the letter reference of the video which was the most inspiring in your project upload description!
Use the keyword: IC547 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.
As I haven't ever made a shaker card, I improvised by making a wax paper sleeve in the shape of a heart, and filled the sleeve with colored dc hearts. Added some blue dps, and a double bow, along with a dc dog and rub on letters. Inspired by the lawn fawn red drink blender card! Here's Loving Paw Print

So this is my 1st Shaker card EVER - The video's took the fear out of it for me. The hardest thing for me was finding a stamp from my stash of hundreds (well maybe thousand) - that would actually work for this type of card. Thanks, Audrie, for Stretching me once again as a stamper/ creator! Check out my experiment in Shakers:
Loved the many colors of the maze inspiration piece- went with a pixie VIP stamp for my image, with a green coffee sleeve as a background. Added a shaker panel with amber and purple gems. Here's Pixie Greeting

Anybody who saw my first card and said to themselves, "she won't be able to make just one" was absolutely RIGHT!! . . Decided to try glitter in this one instead of sequins - OH MY - see description . . . Check out my card . . .
Audrie, you have totally unleashed a monster by showing me how EASY shaker cards are to make - This one was totally inspired by Miss Vickie's Seahorse envelope. I will eventually have to make a Shaker for each & every one of my grandkids! (BUT not today. . . definitely time to rest these old eyes now) Under the Sea by bubblestx4 - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers

I don't think I've ever had as much fun with a new skill set as I have with this!! I walked to Hobby Lobby this morn and these little guys just Screamed "Shaker Card" to me so I HAD to buy them. (And they were RIGHT!!) Another grandkid birthday card done . . .
I loved this challenge. I have never made a shaker card before so was trying to think what stamp set I could use and then realized I didn't have the foam tape or the acetate to make one anyway. That would be why I'm so late posting to the challenge. It was a lot of fun. I'm sorry it didn't photograph so well; I loved learning a new to me technique and thanks for the great inspirational videos! TFL.
I can't stay away from this new found (for me) Technique. I have had the SU Font of You set for quite a while but have never been happy with the "umbrella cards" I've made - until today!!! Audrie, I can never thank you enough for getting me on board with Shaker cards!
