So many of you fabulous artists have been delightfully willing to try new and exciting themes involving a wide range of challenging styles and techniques, in many cases even those things outside of your comfort zone! Therefore, I wanted to do something really EASY for you this week, so that everyone can just PLAY! I settled on a color challenge. Color challenges bring out the very best in new as well as experienced stampers. You can make it easy by being inspired by just 1 color, or make it a bit harder by including the entire color palette in your design. Either way I bet you'll have fun, and we'll end up with the largest gallery of 2016 this week! With all that said, our Inspiration Site for this week is the Color Combinations Pinterest Board by Connie Collins. You'll find over 600 different color palettes with a variety of color-centric pins from well-known color masters like Design Seeds, In Color Balance, ColourQ, Sherwin-Williams, Kerry Willard Bray, and many others! AND, you can choose to pull your inspiration from the beautiful photography above, or on the side of, the palettes! This board offers LOTS of fun options. So....let's get inky this week!
Challenge Goals:* Please don't be tempted to upload a card that you have made prior to this challenge, just because an image on the site reminds you of it - this is all about creating from an inspiration. So, please take the challenge of allowing your creative juices to flow based on your impressions when you look through the images. Remember, it can just be the color palette or style that ignites your creativity. Whatever draws you to the designs, take the challenge of doing something uniquely inspired today.
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many images to choose from (or don't have Pinterest accounts), I've uploaded 10 of my favorites. So just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. Click on the images below to see them bigger and to get their links on SCS. Don't forget to let us know which photo served as your inspiration piece please.
Audrie- hope you are getting settled in your new house! Love these colors from Peonies and Paper Chains- pink, orange, yellows, blues, and greens. I took a super cute card from a stamping buddy, and added some of my own embellishments, coloring, and some dry embossing. Here's Work of Art

This is not a very good picture -- I just couldn't get it to take a picture right this morning. I had a hard time finding anything to match these papers - but finally used this as my inspiration:

SO many awesome color combos on this site - but I finally chose the Midnight blue, Neon rose & Pale pink. The obvious Choice of Stamp (for me) was a big ole flower but I wanted to work outside the box on all counts today . . . . Please check out my card:
Your picture is fine! I can see your beautiful creation clearly! So glad you could play along!
Hugs,
Audrie

This was actually the first piece I bleached for todays challenge but thought it turned rather an odd Shade from the bleaching so chucked it in the trash. Later in the day I retrieved it to see if I could slavage all my hard work. Now I may actually like it better than the 1st one I posted . ..Thank you for Checking out my card.
I had a card class this afternoon so I knew it would be late before I uploaded my card for today's challenge. I started it this morning and just finished it now.
okay so, I found the most gorgeous bloom... and I thought I had it translated into a butterfly card and now when I look at them side by side I see... I should have looked at the flower longer haha... my creamy what ever that color is is very subtle as the cardbase on mine. Such is life
