Welcome to the Mix-Ability challenge and thank you for coming by every week to join in the mixed media fun. Our forum is here to help introduce mixed media in an easy and approachable way that will have you say, "I can do this!".
A short time ago I was on a trip to pick up some chalk paint and when I walked into the small shop I was amazed at all the wallpaper samples. Some were shiny and smooth, some embossed and matte. The designs were floral and geo or striped or comical. Whatever they were I wanted to duplicate them for mixed media projects and now you get to try it, too!
My challenge is to be inspired by wallpaper design and create a project that includes two or more mediums (What's this?).
Stop by Pinterest and check out wallpaper designs or go for a field trip to your local store that carries wallpaper... if you get a free sample have fun using it in your project!
Please remember to put in the correct keyword when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos. Then come back to this thread and paste a link to the card in your gallery so we can all see!
Have fun with this challenge and I can't wait to see you in the gallery!
What a cool challenge idea! In the past I've taken photos of wallpaper displays, they can be beautiful. I know I won't have time for a "field trip" today unless I get out of work early, so I'll pre-plan by googling some images this morning.
Great challenge idea....and sent me scampering to the storage room of left over wallpaper(even from former homes). (I'm a pack rat, if you couldn't guess) : ) Thanks, Janelle.
Oh this took me forever to make - but I finally got a hang on it! Great challenge!!

I actually found plenty of inspiration online, but with several cards I need to make for commissions and upcoming events, I went with a bird collage-style paper I saw in our local DIY store yesterday afternoon.
