Our inspiration site this week is extra yummy! It's The Cake Blog inspired by an amazing cake artist by the name of Carrie Sellman. Carrie�s work has been published on the cover of Country Living Magazine and in the pages of Brides Magazine. Her work has also been featured on popular websites such as People, Country Living, DIY Network, TLC, and The Cooking Channel, amongst others. So, I'm sure you'll be delighted to find beautifully staged images and wonderful cakes to inspire (and make you want to eat cake)! Please don't let it tempt you to eat a WHOLE cake - all things in moderation! LOL
Challenge Goals:
Please try and take the challenge of allowing your creative juices to flow based on the images you browse on the inspiration site. Remember, it can just be the color palette or style that ignites your creativity. Whatever draws you to the designs, take the challenge of doing something uniquely inspired by the Cake Blog website today. Remember that your card might also end up on my Ongoing Inspiration Genius Board, especially if it shows signs of extra deep inspiration (your card would need a link to the inspiration selected from the site, and it must have been created since the start of the challenge to qualify for the genius board).
Use the keyword: IC540 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many images to choose from, I've uploaded 10 of my favorites. So just stick with one of those for your inspiration. Click on the images below to see them bigger and to get their links on SCS. Don't forget to let us know which photo served as your inspiration piece please.

Absolute torture, Audrie! I want to go out and buy and consume the most beautiful cake I can find - but I won't. I'm always inspired by anything beachy or nautical and today was no exception - here is my Nautical Center Step card

Audrie- amazing and yummy site for sure! I was inspired by the Candied Lemon Cake and used 2 SU sets for my paper pieced cake and lemon. Added some sparkly pink trim and gems, and finished with a lemony ribbon tie. Here's Lemon Cake
