Talking My Michaels find

Last night I was wondering around Michaels and the stamps were 50% off so I looked and I found a set of 3 mini crazy bird framelits, 3 bird and 6 word poly stamps plus a EB folder by Tim Holtz. It was marked 19.99 . It rang up at 9.99 I was one happy stamper

the closest Michaels to me is 3 1/2 hours away, but last week DH and I made the trip to also shop at Costco. Coupons printed off, yay! a 50% off one item, gonna try and find that Hero Arts stamp. I get there and all stamps are 40% off, yay! I bought one stamp, not the one I wanted and wandered around trying to find something worthwhile to save 50% on, ended up with new Big Shot plates :-(

My Michaels are having $2/pack for Recollection 65lb cardstocks so I bought a few for layering. In addition, they are selling books to donate to Boys/Girls Club so I also bought 5 copies of White Fang by Jack London for them!

I had the Michale's 50% coupon 'burning a hole in my pocket' and was mentally doing a happy dance in my mind when I found the same 'Crazy Birds' set. Couldn't believe that there was so much packed into this set! Also, couldn't believe I found something that wasn't already on sale.

Yay, score!!!

Recollections has their version of the Hero Arts Ombre pads. Bought a couple at $3.59 from the original $6.99 price. Going to have fun making some sunset backgrounds with them.

Also bought Recollections set of 2 waterbrushes. One is pointy the other flat. I've never seen a small flat water brush before so I bought 2 sets at $4.79 on sale from $7.99.

Bought one of the Recollections Boho wood carved stamps for $3.99 on sale from $7.99 as they have such interesting designs. Interested to see the stamped image from one of these stamps.

Did not find these in the stamping area of store. They were in an aisle nearer the center of the store with all types of paper crafting items on sale.

The Michaels stores are off my beaten path, and I had not been to one lately. This thread inspired me to go.

I was very impressed with all the new things they had since I'd been there.

I bought several packs of Recollection cardstock for $2 each and I'm a happy camper. I usually make multiples of cards, so I go through cardstock pretty quick. I love to have lots of colors on hand.

I also crochet and they had the Sugar and Cream cotton yarn on sale for 97 Cents, instead of $1.99. Bought a lot of that!

Ohh I am seeing this post a little late. I went there last evening looking for Versamark and few other supplies but sadly they didn't have anything that I needed. I almost bought the Recollection embossing pad but checked the reviews at last moment and thought against it.
There wasn't a wide range of stamps but there were alot of new inkpads though. I would have looked for the bird set if I had checked this post before :(
Can't believe I came back without using my 50% coupons!

The new inks are gorgeous. I missed out on the blue which is my favorite color. Those inks are a one time thing unfortunately :( . I hope they come back , but it was only part of that line. I also missed out on the washi tapes

Did anyone else see the smaller set of crazy birds at Michaels that came with the framelits? It was only 10.00!

Lots of great deals this week.

About 3 weeks ago I came across the Crazy Birds set and thought what a find. I popped into Michaels earlier today and picked up a couple of things which included a Hampton Arts stamp and die set. There were a lot of things on sale but I refrained from buying. Next month there is a local Scrapbook show that I will be attending, so I'm holding out till then.

I went yesterday and with my 50% off coupon I found a Stampendous Gelli Plate $28 and so I got it for $14. Of course some 1/2 off stamps and die sets jumped into my cart! I am a happy camper!

That store is so dangerous for me to go into! If I leave there spending less than $25 it's a miracle! I tell the ladies at work, "some women collect shoes, some collect purses. I collect scrapbooking goodies!" Congrats on your awesome finds!

I found this mini Bird Crazy set at my local Michael's yesterday and bought it with a coupon. Cost me CAD 18.00 (regular CAD 29.95). Which for us Canadian's is an awesome deal!
Does anyone know if there is a set for the other 3 birds? I can't find any info on these seemingly Michael's exclusives on Stampendous' website.
